Inspired by having to look up who's won the League Cup and remembering that we lost 2-1 to Birmingham in the final in 2011

(for Torquay, being relegated to the Blue Square Premier for a couple of years :( )

The reign of Roy Hodgson. Was actually really hard to endure watching our matches in that period

Getting relegated the first time in 2003, it was more expected the second time but back then I think we were the first team to go down with more than 40 points and it went to the final day of the season.. losing in the playoff final the next season was gutting as well

The other stand out was losing that FA Cup final where we dominated the whole game only for Gerrard to score the flukiest goal ever

Probably the McLeish era for me, it was just dour, really dour, points this season have been as bad though, and obviously the Bradford game last year, then followed by getting knocked out by Millwall the week after

8-15 years ago everything was rosey. In recent times.. the loss to Birmingham in the final of the Carling Cup. The sale of Fabregas which was terrible. Lack of success in general.
