He said IF he survives he wants to win for the fans. And i agree he has a very good chance of winning. :)

He is totally smug but he's also being realistic - he's survived four evictions in a row, it's clear that the public like him. Be interesting to see what happens next in the house, the next two days are going to be brilliant watching everyone else turn on each other and Jim quietly watching it all happen.

Tbh I thought that was a little arrogant of him, saying he'll definitely win if he survived this eviction. I mean it's easy to understand why, given that he has survived every eviction so far, but arrogance is an unattractive quality to possess.

Josy

Yes probably a bit smug but so what, he's not the first.

Also he said he wasn't going to give up trying to be nice to Linda and maybe they could become friends nothing about wanting to be mates.....

Why can't people debate with facts rather than twisting everything.

I'd quite like to see Luisa win because for me she's been the most consistently entertaining housemate and as much as I find her infuriating, she's been brilliant TV. No doubt Sam or Ollie will claim the title though. Wish they weren't in there to be honest, the series has not benefitted from their presence in there whatsoever.

he wants to win for HIMSELF just like every other winner cept the ones who donated stuff to charity. He said he would win and I don't like any contestant who has said that in the past. Saying he will win for the fans just makes it sound better. I am not singling out Jim in saying I cant abide housemates getting above themselves. He already knows he is popular with the public after surviving four evictions he should be just happy in the knowledge and see what happens. I really hope he doesn't win

Jim is famous from Saturday night TV which is prime-time TV. Like Xfactor, and Britains got Tallent. People watch TV at those times. The Generation Game was at that time. Although he was rubbish at the Generation Game he made it about himself, and not the contestants. Bruce Forsyth did it much better.

TRACY Davidson is, by virtue of her recent divorce, a bit of a cliche.

She is one of a coterie of comic Jim Davidson's former wives who have become the modern-day equivalent of a music-hall joke.

All four have been portrayed as the hapless victims of the fickle comedian's bad moods, roving eye and general bad behaviour towards women.

But being an ex-Mrs Davidson is not something Tracy ever expected - and she resents any comparisons to the previous members of this exclusive club.

Her marriage to Jim lasted ten years - twice as long as any of his others - bearing him three beautiful children and spanning a decade of his alcoholism, drying-out, highs and lows, misery and great happiness.

It ended when she discovered he was cheating on her with his co-star Debbie Corrigan in his stage show Sinderella

That article is spot on. It's hard to believe that he has suddenly garnered so much support by trying to play the new St. Jim. The comments are typical of general opinion, I would say. In CBB to anyone who doesn't understand how passive aggressive, domineering and attention seeking he is, he would appear to be a victim. Hilarious. He never denied battering his wife, he said she had also hit him. Big man Jim, as if that makes him right! Coward through and through.

That article is spot on. It's hard to believe that he has suddenly garnered so much support by trying to play the new St. Jim. The comments are typical of general opinion, I would say. In CBB to anyone who doesn't understand how passive aggressive, domineering and attention seeking he is, he would appear to be such a sweet victim. He never denied battering his wife, he said she had also hit him. Big man Jim, as if that makes him right! Coward through and through.

A bully, but only against women hes not got the balls against a man ,hes not had one fall out with a man in there ,and never nominated one either, speaks volumes ,hes arrogant ,but his fans are mainly young people who dont know of him ,when he went in I gave him the benefit of the doubt ,thinking I should give him a chance ,after Id not seem him on Hells Kitchen and only read what happened, first off I thought hes not as bad as I thought he was,but all that changed when he started bullying Linda, what he said that night was the sickest thing Ive seen on BB and should not be applauded by him winning the show
That would tell men its ok to beat your wife, be racist, sexist, arrogant people STILL like you

just to even it up!, plenty of men are beaten and attacked by their girlfriend's partner's or wife's.

jim is in the wrong but not every man is!

I didn't say every man, or woman, for that matter was. I fully understand the plight of victims of domestic violence.

Jim repeating history, laying the blame on Linda this time not his ex wife .........

His ex-wife Alison Holloway alleged that during their marriage Jim beat her regularly, kicked her down the stairs and once smashed a barbell into her ribs. He blamed her for their marriage breakdown.

The best celebrity gossip site in the world.

I've read it Chuff ,unfortunately I make my own mind up,I don't take the word of any press as we all know what they are,I have also read that his wife was not a nice person and was happy to have a hit man after Jim,but as I said it's all Chinese whispers and hearsay,If he was THAT bad surely she would have had him arrested, there was no arrest,no charges, she took him to the cleaners moneywise,so she's happy,We weren't there.we don't know the situation,so for me ,people can say what they like,I make my mind up from things I see,and from what I have seen Jim is funny although it's not always obvious,he is no different to all the other old style comedians,I think people take some of what he says far too seriously,I mean the outrage about the shirt comment was hilarious.

In 1998, he released a memo to his staff saying that as part of his upcoming stage show he wanted the dead body of a "black man" saying that he planned to end the show by "snorting cocaine from his negro cadaver". Interviewed about this in The Daily Mail (following his interview with the police) Davidson was adamant that "I just said I wanted the dead body of a man, I didn't tell anyone to kill them, there's no harm in that. I mean, the dead bloke wouldn't be needing it." and said that the specified-race was important "for contrast reasons with my stage set, although I suppose that's racist now!" however he backed down on the taking of cocaine

In 2005, it was revealed that Davidson had been a member of the BNP but had been expelled for "bringing the good name of the party into disrepute".
Davidson has also courted controversy by beating-up his good lady wife. Asked to talk about this incident, Davidson said:
"I actually went to throw a bowl at her but ended up smacking her about until I broke her ribs instead. We did laugh about it afterwards. Well, I did. She even played it up in the following days by groaning and coughing-up blood more than she really needed to when we were out in public. The silly bitch."
Since then, however, Davidson has gone to great lengths to stress that he does NOT beat women on Sundays, due to his strict Hebrew beliefs.

I agree. He was and still is a hideous role model. He wasn't that popular back in his hey day, even though attitudes towards his sadistic prejudicial humour have changed. He was a sleazy low life comedian and still is.

Then you, only see what you want to see. Convenient at best.

Not really.

Bad news sells.

It has always been like that.

Otherwise the media would be full of fluffy, uplifting, heartening stories.

Yes I remember that. Nothing unusual for him. He is loathsome. The list is endless. The singeing martyr routine has now been brought out to play. That's if you can't see through him

Some will like him, some wont, some will believe everything they read in the media as gospel, some realise the media does not always report the truth.

And yet, so many voters who are mainly women still love him. Maybe they do not want to hold a grudge forever and can see his star quality. Millions have watched and been entertained by his stage/tv shows from all backgrounds and walks of life., he is just liked even with his distasteful past. Which is why he probably will be the winner.

And of course Luisa and Linda have helped a wee bit.

This sounds so horrendous that it's just ridiculous. He cannot have been seriously requesting a cadaver, and the police must have been satisfied that was the case, otherwise he'd have faced a criminal trial. Unless you have read the memo in question, you cannot really judge. Even his response sounds like a joke. I read the Mail Online, and they are very, very sneaky about the way they report things. Some readers get entirely the wrong end of the stick from their reporting. Do you have a link to any press articles about it?

I hadn't seen Jim on the TV before, but I watched a segment of one of his shows on Youtube recently. He didn't strike me as any worse than a lot of the other comedians doing the comedy circuit and actually he was funnier - he had enough good material to cut out the offensive stuff and still have a great show - a better one actually, because it wouldn't have hurt anyone. If people booed or didn't laugh at the offensive stuff, then he'd stop doing it. I think the audience are equally to blame for encouraging him by laughing. The offensive stuff in his routine was about fat women.. He could easily have made it more acceptable by saying that he needs to go on a diet, then made the same types of jokes about himself.

So far on BB, he has behaved appropriately and he hasn't come out with anything offensive. He wants to change his image and that can only be a good thing.

I think people weren't supporting him because they're fans. They were supporting him because of the way he's handled Linda and what he's brought to the show.

Just to add to what I was saying about the Mail Online.. Just take a look at their reporting. Their favourite device is to use the words "a source said" then enclose a quote in inverted commas, thus cleverly avoiding any libel action. Journalists can make up whatever rubbish they want, and they do.

Incidentally, Liz Jones writes for the Daily Mail, but she engages in none of that gutter journalism. She writes about issues she feels strongly about, plus fashion, and every word she writes is her own opinion. I only watched Celebrity Big Brother because she was on it. I've never watched it before.
