I know there's probably never going to be a change of heart when it comes to the stronger profanities, but I really would appreciate it if the S word (rhymes with hit) were unfiltered...
I don't want to speak for everyone but I don't think it's really seen as that rude a word any more? Since words like twat and bitch and dick are okay on here, and it's also used in more colloquial words like BS in pretty much everyday language
So yeah... please don't turn this into another MAKE EVERY WORD LEGAL!!!!!!!! thread guys  I just want to see some s**t s0b

Think I got infracted for saying the word when I did this thread a year or two back.
I don't think any words will be removed from the filter tbh but James will probably answer the thread anyway.

Nope.
Well I'm sure at least one of them was edited out because it broke the filter.

It seems a bit weird that a forum about a show as vulgar as Big Brother censors swearwords, lol.

For different reasons, there's certain restrictions on the content that can be hosted on the site. One of the restrictions is 'no excessive profanity'.
It seems a bit weird that a forum about a show as vulgar as Big Brother censors swearwords, lol.
I think what you see on Big Brother is reality, or a version of it, so housemates on the show are going to swear a lot, but that doesn't mean that when we discuss other peoples' reality we have to do it with lots of swearing and vulgarities.
They don't swear on the news, even though they are reporting on people who probably swear a lot in their private lives eg. politicians.
That's the best way I can explain it.
Scarlett.

The only time the swear filter bothers me is when there's a bad word in a url and it causes an image or link not to work. :inamood:
