It is an edited show though...I also try to take that into consideration. She clearly has had past history with him also so we don't know stuff he might say that we are oblivious to why he's saying it.

I think you need to watch the clip again. She didn't have a problem with Jim mentioning the cherry brandy initially. Ollie had said they hadn't had alcohol, and Jim said there was curry saved for them, and there were cherry brandies which they hadn't drunk. Linda contradicted Jim so she could chat about the cherry brandies. She only got nasty after Dappy said "Thanks Jim." and then she twisted it around and made out that Jim had done it to show her up. Horrible behaviour.

Her story doesn't wash, because Jim wouldn't have said there were cherry brandies in order to show her up, because if he'd then tried to do that, she could have retorted that he'd been drinking wine.

I think she is bringing out his true colours: we're seeing that he can be patient, long-suffering and can walk away from an argument, and when he does get riled enough to retaliate, he makes spot-on comments, such as saying she is bitter, or can come back with snappy, funny comments, such as "shove the knives up your arse then", which she can only counter with more hectoring because she's not clever enough to think of a good come-back herself. If someone had told me to shove knives up my arse, I'd have said "I'd prefer to shove them up yours" and I'd have probably started to laugh.

The housemates must be as thick as she is if they still can't see through her - that cherry brandy incident was unbelievable. He couldn't have planned to expose her for drinking it, because if he had, she'd have wiped the floor with him by revealing that he'd been drinking wine.

This has been the impression I got all along. Linda always thinks she's right, which is why she persisted with all the attacks on Jim in spite of the obvious public support for him. She cannot cope with people who have a different view from hers, so she controls and manipulates people to get their agreement, or punishes them.

She has now seen that she's at risk of losing support, so she tried to rescue the situation by acknowledging that she might be at fault, but then pulled out her dead widow card to justify herself, as if the behaviour only started with the FC stuff... thus putting all the blame back on Jim again. It was a totally transparent, fake apology. Why did she suddenly want to apologise for nominating him? She never did before.

Right now - it's Jim. No doubt when she leaves the house - it will be someone else she blames, whoever is nearby.
