According to TMZ:
Justin Bieber was arrested for DUI ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement tells us ... Bieber was busted in Miami Beach for both DUI and drag racing.

The arrest occurred early Thursday morning.

Bieber is now in custody and is at the police department where he is being tested -- presumably to more precisely measure his blood alcohol level.

His next stop will be jail, where he will be booked and processed and bail will be set.

We're told Bieber had just left a club and was driving at the time cops spotted him.

Based on what we know ... the traffic stop was for drag racing and cops determined he was driving under the influence.

Miami Beach police said Bieber was pulled over for speeding in a yellow Lamborghini and failed a field sobriety test. This is a first-degree misdemeanor, which could get him up to six months in jail and have his license suspended for six months.

But he may be eligible for a program for first-time offenders that recurs the charge to reckless driving, says defense attorney Mark Eiglarsh, who is not involved in this case. Florida has zero tolerance for underage drinkers and if the singer enters a program for first-time offenders Bieber will have to steer clear of all drugs and alcohol.

Miami Beach Police Chief Raymond Martinez told the Miami Herald that Bieber was under the influence of drugs and incoherent. He had his hands in his pockets and resisted arrest without violence, the chief said, adding that the singer didn't have a driver's license. His Georgia license was expired.

Police said that Bieber cursed out the arresting officer then admitted to having beer, marijuana and prescription drugs in his system.

The musician's entourage had apparently used their cars to block traffic on Pine Tree Drive at 26th Street, a residential area, at around 4 a.m., creating a drag strip for Bieber, who was in a Lamborghini, the newspaper reported.

Bieber was taken to county jail for processing. Miami Beach Police Detective Vivian Hernandez added that Bieber cannot be bailed out until after 12 p.m., because of a mandatory eight-hour drying out period after a DUI arrest.

Police said that the other alleged drag racer, who was racing Bieber in a red Ferrari, was Khalil Amir Sharieff and he was also charged with DUI.

The Canadian singer, 19, has faced increasing legal trouble in the past year. He was recently investigated by Los Angeles police after a neighbor accused Bieber of throwing eggs at his house.

Calls to a rep for the singer were not immediately returned

Justin Bieber is reportedly facing a criminal charge in Toronto for his alleged involvement in a scuffle with a limo driver.

The incident occurred when an argument broke out in December as he was travelling in a limo through the Canadian city, reports TMZ.

Bieber's entourage and the limo driver apparently had a disagreement which allegedly turned physical.

Law enforcement sources told the website that the popstar is in Toronto to meet with police, and could be charged with criminal assault at the conclusion of that meeting.

Bieber has issued no comment on the matter at this time.

This is the latest legal problem for Bieber, who was arrested in Miami last week on suspicion of DUI, resisting arrest and driving with an expired licence.

Court documents later showed that the charges had been narrowed to a single count of resisting arrest. He is due back in court on Valentine's Day
