I'm asking this not to cause a argument but I'm general interested in this:

Who is voting for Jim are you male/female & what age roughly are you all

I'm female & in my 40's

I can honestly say can't stand the man I think he is a sexist pig, & can't get my head around why women especially would for vote for him

To be fair - Linda has probably been a major part of Jim's support.

I don't vote and I'm not really a Jim fan but from reading here and FB, I don't think there's a certain "type" that are voting for him

The fact that Linda has bullied him so much makes people like him. Plus he is a real celeb unlike most in there

I'm female 37 and really like Jim and yes I would vote for him.I make my own mind up and don't rely of tabloids and gossip. Also if you read his OWN words in his book, that is a more accurate assessment of Jim Davidson.

I'm 40 and female. Three reasons i like Jim :

He's funny
His friendship with Dappy(my favourite)
The dignified way he's coping with Linda attacking constantly

I wouldn't vote for him, but I've enjoyed him as a housemate and he is funny. You don't have to be a nice person to be funny.

I'd be interested to read his story, as I don't know a lot about him apart from the basics.

I forgot to add I'm no fan of Linda either

Did anyone see Loose Women today, Rylan was on & talking about CBB, he was talking about various HM's but he was saying Jim & Linda arguments are lot worse on LF( he didn't say it) but I think he was implying that Jim starts the arguments but on the HL's we only seeing the tail end of it & it makes it look like Linda is the one starting it.

But what if that's not the case though? It is a severally edited version of events we get to see on HLs. it's not beyond the realms of possibility to imagine they might do this to paint one person "the baddie"

Male 33.Jimbo is funny without trying and is a British legend unlike these reality TV idiots that call themselves celebrities. Also he's having a rough time in there and dealing with it exceptionally.

lol vanessa, I'm just saying that it's not beyond the realms of possibility that the producers are editing the events and arguments in a certain way, you can't possibly agree or disagree with that anyway because it's speculation.

tbh from what were shown, linda looks like a nut job full of bitterness, but there's just something about Jim that I don't like

From what i see it's Linda who can't let go of her anger. I think she's just not the type of person to accept apologies. She holds grudges and it shows.

I'm female 31 and I like Jim as a housemate because I find him funny, find the **** he's had from Linda from the launch to be ridiculous and don't think he's anywhere near as bad as the papers have made him out to be over the years.

I don't believe that at all, bots is very anti Jim as is Rylan, if Jim was causing every argument in there we would certainly have been shown it.

And we saw Luisa, Lee, Dappy and Casey say on the highlights the other night that Linda is acting very badly.

Only because they were watching a particular argument from the Kennel. Before that they didn't think it was all Linda.

I don't know, sure from what we see it does look all Linda, I just get a vibe from him that i don't like, there's something off about him and the way he's acting in there

I agree. The show is very anti Jim, because they want Sam or Ollie to win. If Jim was starting all the arguments they woudl show it. They can't, because it's not true. All we see is Linda on Jim's case, but housemates still say it's his fault.

I don't think it's all Linda either, earlier in the series Jim did make a few comments that caused a row but the ones lately that we have seen are clearly Linda, look at the latest one with the knife for an example.

I think most probably they're both at fault and I wouldn't be shocked if they'd swayed it a bit in one of their favours, having an aggressor and a victim is more interesting then just having 2 assholes arguing all day :joker:

I am certainly no fan of Jim's views and his stand up, but he is a perfect housemate. I only mentioned Linda Nolan's name to my 62 year old mother and her first response was 'she's a bitch' and she has never watched more than 5 mins of any BB, including this one.

How that Sam is still in there whilst Lionel Blair and Liz were kicked out is beyond me, they have both made me laugh out loud over the past few weeks. I didn't even notice Sam was in there until last night, I think thats the first time i've seen her move.

I am 49 and female and I have seen very little chauvanistic, nasty behaviour from Jim. He has handled Linda and Luisa very well.... They have been far worse to him (and I am sorry but Loose women have Coleen as one of their presenters albeit she wasn't there....but they were obviously going to show favour to Linda)... I am sure if Jim had instigated many of the arguments we would have seen some evidence of it.
I base my judgement of Jim on what I have seen...he has been funny, miserable and showed a lot of sincerity and support... I have not judged him on what's been said of him. He has shown some old fashioned male chauvinism but not serious and totally harmless and inoffensive... I have seen far worse behaviour in Luisa lee and Linda.

By the way I started a thread asking forum readers to give me examples of Jim's bad behaviour and chauvinism..... I only had one incident in reply and that was when Luisa refused to cook for him and he said that he would just cook for the boys... Considering it was a reaction to being singled out...it wasn't that bad but I accepted it as a genuine example.
NOBODY else amongst the Jim haters could come up with anything other than that apart from 'Jim admits he is'.... Too many people jump on the bandwagon...I cannot believe he has suppressed his character for 3 weeks as Jim dislikes are implying.

I am a mature woman, and I have not voted for Jim. Based on what I have seen on the show, I dislike Linda's behaviour, and I have thought that Jim showed some good qualities and no real chauvinism or sexism.

Chuff-me-dizzy posted a link to a Daily Mirror article

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/jim-davidson-tasteless-jokes-aimed-2214146#.UuE9uvunxH1

I found some of these jokes dreadful and offensive, but that's why I don't watch a lot of comedy shows. Billy Connolly is one of the few stand-ups who can make me double up with laughter, while never offending any group. As long as people keep attending and laughing at lesser comedians, they will continue to give audiences what they're after. I'm not sure that Jim means to offend. He's just an old-style comic, stuck in a rut, and not sure of where to go next. He's got potential to be better than that, in my opinion, based on what I have seen on CBB.

Back to Big Brother, I haven't decided whether I'd want to vote or not, or even who I like best, but Luisa has been one of my favourites from the start. Having seen the jokes in that article, I think that if Linda had done a bit of homework, then sat him down and got him talking about some of the issues he jokes about in his routines, then it would have not only made for a far more interesting programme, but she'd have been far more popular and we'd have got a better idea of what makes Jim Davidson tick.
