Rylan said on Loose Women yesterday that due to the shows popularity they have extended the series that was originally due to finish tomorrow...now it finishes on Tuesday.
Bearing in mind the 'celebrities' May have had commitments, do you think they offered more money to those who stay beyond tomorrow?... Do you think this is the reason for the reaction to noms we had yesterday?....and maybe Lionel's shock departure was because he could not commit.
Just a thought....or maybe I should just call it a night.

They're all Z-listers so can't imagine them having too many commitments.

It would have been in their contracts...

The housemates would have been consulted and given extra cash no doubt
I'm sure BB would have the foresight to include a clause in the contract about extending their stay if necessary, I'm not sure extra money would be on the cards - the producers wouldn't let the housemates hold them to ransom over payment.

I'd imagine this is a pre-planned PR move. By 'extending' the series mid-way through it makes it look like the series is a rip-roaring success.
The housemates would have agreed to go in the house for a set number of days beforehand. Channel 5 can get away with this kind of thing when there is no live-feed.

But it has been very successful. It's the best CBB series on channel 5 for me.

They all have lives out of the show lol, kids etc. Do you not have any commitments seeing as you have no celebrity status at all?

Yes they would all have been asked & given more money as it is a change to their contracts... They actually mentioned it the other day in the house too when they were talking about how many days they had left... Wouldn't surprise me if they were all allowed out to discuss it with their agents too

Linda or Sam I think mentioned on HL's the other night , I got the impression they just got told during the show not before it began, but I could be wrong.

It won't be a contract change, they will have been contracted to be in until Tuesday originally but told that it might be either Tuesday or the preceeding Friday depending on success / scheduling. The pay would be the same, I imagine. Basically a Friday ending would have been a possibility but would have been considered the contracts being ended early (still getting agreed money) but with a Tuesday finish "pencilled in" at the time of signing.
Remember they get paid their agreed fee no matter when they leave, whether they're first out or there at the final. It's not dependant on time spent there. E.g. in some earlier seasons some celebs were blatantly trying their best to be evicted early to get their cheque and go home. Doesn't happen so much now, the celebs seem to want the exposure... Either to boost a reality career like the Towie / Made in Chelsea / Geordie Shore / apprentice types, revive a floundering public image (Dappy!) Or right some "image wrongs" (Davidson, Barrymore etc.)
Then there are the ones who just use it like a paid holiday. Martin Kemp springs to mind! Think he was mainly there for the pay but didn't mind hanging around until the end either.

It would be a contract change as they would have signed to stay in there potentially as long as the series was due to run. If Channel 5 decide to extend it, then they need the housemates to agree, as some could have commitments etc.. after Big Brother... The leaving before it ends is a bit different to them staying longer than they were ever contracted (& paid) to, so they would have had to negotiate with the housemates & their agents first...
