View Full Version : I love You
Why do the housemates say this when someone's getting evicted
No you don't love them, you tolerate them in a house for a couple of weeks then you probably won't ever meet up with them again :idc:
Discuss.

You say the nicest thing possible to someone who is in a worse off situation than yourself. In this case someone leaving the house.

Why say it? I think its the sort of thing people in the 'biz' say when they mean goodbye.

Because you want them to know that even though they're all morons out there(crowd), there's still people who like them.

If I'd been in a house with some of them, I'd never want to see them again. let alone love them.

..I think that's the most irritating thing ever, 'babe' is one of my pet hates...

Hmm I would agree with that but wouldn't say 'I Love You' is the right thing to say there.

Its nice and a compliment to lie? why not just say something like good luck! see you soon?
And alright bye then.
this & people moan about Linda never being happy
Discussing something that happens is hardly negativity..
If you don't like a thread you aren't forced to post in it.

I guess they don't have a lot of time to think what to say though when someone is evicted so that is probably the easiest one to make them feel better at that time. They all say it so casually in the house anyway I've noticed.

It doesn't have to be taken literally, of course none of them genuinely love each other - it's just a nice thing to say to someone as they're leaving the house.

I think they are saying 'Isle of ewe' in reference to the Scottish island where female sheep go alone to die.
It's the HMs way of saying 'you're going to die'
