Channel 5 really did waste their money with these two.

I love Ollie so much, his name was the one I was most excited for when the series launched, he was on my wishlist for like 3 or 4 series now. Shame.
I knew Sam would be a complete waste of time, she's not even exciting or interesting in TOWIE, if they wanted a TOWIE female then the only one left is Gemma who can be annoying as ****..

Absolutely agreed. Channel 5 should be bloody sure before they chose their celebs that they are going to DO something. But then again look at the civilian big brother when housemates walk in to video clips that promise they will be controversial argumentative etc and then they clam up and cruise through to the final in most parts

I've liked Sam more than I have Ollie.
But I think the OP is right, it's a pity we couldn't have had two people in there who would have been outspoken and made a big noise.

I think Ollie was the calm amongst the storm.
Not a clue who he was until he appeared on launch night.
Both **** housemates, Sam more than Ollie Imo.
But honestly don't think the producers wasted their money, the fan bases they have obviously voted a lot more than most of the other housemates so that added to the exposure of those two 'names' probably works out as money well spent.

The ops right, they are a waste of space. The pretend romance is getting on my wick.

Yeah this was exactly what I was going to say - they bring guaranteed fan bases to the show who will spend money to save them; there's a reason the two scripted reality stars have made it to the final. So Channel 5 definitely didn't waste their money and they'll continue to cast these scripted reality TV people in future CBBs until they've run out of them.

They aren't as bad as some make them out. Every series has bores, Sam and Ollie have probably done more than those in other series but because this cast as a whole is stronger it doesn't look that way.

Sam doesn't speak, and Ollie is an annoying, fake, prick.

Probably true that they appear to be duller than they probably are because of how entertaining everyone else has been; but if there was room for 9 housemates to be entertaining and find the time to include them in the highlights, to me that suggests Sam and Ollie just aren't very exciting (neither was Evander but it didn't matter because he was out immediately)...

It's a shame Sam was ill because I've met her a few times and she's the life and soul of the party. I'm not just making this up. She's such a party child it's unreal. We didn't see the real Sam in there which is gutting.

To me that just shows that she was hiding her real personality in order to fly under the radar. I don't suddenly stop having a personality when I'm ill, do you?

loved ollie - sam is a let down but show compassion - she was ill.
She was well enough to stay in the house and took part in tasks and was having drinks with some of them; she also wasn't ill the entire time she was in the house and yet she still didn't show much of a personality and didn't have much to say for herself. Either she is a bore or she was pretending to be one in order to get the easy money without damaging her reputation.

To be fair tho, kirk was a great lad/decent housemate.
Mario was ok.
Amy was funny as **** imo.
Sam has been the only bad one.
would have preferred zippy and bungle to those two nonentities.
