View Full Version : Female Final 2

Will there ever be a female final 2?
There is often all male top 3's & 4's, and out of 27 series, 26 had more boys or an equal amount (96.3%).
In 27 series there have been 10 + male / male final 2's and zero female final 2's
The statistics speak for themselves that women are sexist against their own gender, but will there ever be a female F2? In USA there are many female F2's in TXF & BB etc. The closest we've ever been was Rachel / Sara (BB9)
I'm just wondering as the statistics are crazy & there have been so many series now, that it's not just chance, voters are judging people on their gender.
But do you think there ever will be one?

Damn! We probably won't get an all female final 2 for a long while, but here's to hoping we do!
I think it's because so many female housemates have had a bitchy side which has been their downfall; it's not so common to have bitchy male housemates and I think the public don't tend to warm bitches unless they're funny with it.

Never, the public idolise males and chastise females.

In BBUSA it'a different, Danielle, Diane, Janelle (x2), Keesha, Britney, & Elissa were all the publics favourite in their series

I think if we have two women who are victimised and/or portrayed as protagonists throughout the series, we could have a female final two.

They are a lot better but there's still a lot of catladies over there that idolise awful ones like Frank and Jeff.

Even just some funny women who don't get dragged down by arguing and bitching

This is exactly why it will never happen, whenever a woman speaks her mind and doesn't sit there complacent she's immediately labeled as a bitch. Guys can do whatever they want and get away with it, the double standards held by the general public are repulsive.

The 30th series will do it, just don't expect them to be attractive girls though like a lot of guys always want.:joker:

I also do think in some series though Zee that some members on Forums can overrate some female Housemates just because they don't want to like male Housemates or admit that a male Housemate is better than a female Housemate.

Well I think it's more down to BB's choice of casting; they had three dimensional women in the BB3 house (Kate and Jade) who were massively popular but then BB4 was just a massive failure so from BB5 onwards they chose caricatures for housemates and as a result there's a typecast for the bitch and a typecast for the romance and a typecast for the dullard. BB just needs to put in some normal looking girls who have something to say for themselves but aren't malicious - there are plenty of those women out there, most women I know don't fit into any of the categories BB has cast for female housemates, I don't know why they don't put some of them in. This series of CBB has shown there's a funny way to go about being a bitch (Luisa) that the public will warm to and an unappealing way to go about being a bitch (Linda) that the public won't warm to.

I agree with you - and I think it's because, again, BB puts in such stereotypical housemates that people are naturally drawn to "the bitch" because it's always entertaining to watch - but when it comes down to popular support, those housemates never do well.

It would be fun one day to have an unpredictable Housemate in there where you're wondering what they are going to do next sort of thing.

It would, wouldn't it? I feel like Makosi is perhaps the closest we've ever had to that in terms of personality, she played by her own set of rules. There was of course Kitten in BB5 who was determined to do the exact opposite of what she was told but she then became extremely predictable as a result which was sort of disappointing in a way and she failed to live up to what I thought she would be like.

I mean, this is pretty much the same argument people have with the "Is the public racist?/When will a black girl win?" topic.

The true wildcard is the one you don't see coming.

Yeah true... obviously the statistics are what they are but I think it's down to the casting and not any kind of mass public -ist/-phobic attitude that's stopped us from having a female final two/black woman win/[anything]. You can't force the public to warm to people if they don't want to.

I agree with you on both tbh, Kitten did annoy me as well lol.
But I do also think that what can be annoying and I don't mean to start an argument on this but some members will only support the pretty girls (hence why Jim and Dappy still get attacked even though they was entertaining) and then you have other members that will only root for the good looking guys (and will attack Luisa, and Jasmine despite doing a lot in the series) I just wish that people would not judge someone because of what's inbetween their legs and will actually like a Housemate for what they've actually brought to the series. Oh and then you have people that hate the older contestants for sometimes no given reason.
Yeah I know what you mean Mocky, I can always tell who certain users will support in BB/CBB but I don't know if that's because I've gotten to know them over time and kinda get the personalities they like or if I'm psychic  but I guess that's what makes debating BB so much fun; knowing that people will interpret the same situation in completely different ways because of who they like in the house and what their own views are.

There are definite racist/sexist undertones. Not explicitly "I refuse to vote for ___ because they are <black/a woman/all of the above>" but the public is much more judgmental of anyone of color or with a vagina.

Yeah I was gonna say, I don't think it's explicit but certainly there are prejudices against female housemates and I think that's down to who Big Brother chooses to cast (big busty glamorous girls; bitchy girls) and how often they do it, whereas they seem to cast more varied male housemates. Not really sure about the colour aspect but perhaps that's down to a lack of representation and diversity in who they choose to send into the house.

I still find it shocking that the one Model that teenage girls did vote for was a Thief in BB10, she actually stole people's things in the house and won by a landslide while Siavash's biggest crime was gameplaying, that bastard.

I suspect that she won because she piled on the pounds in the house and teenage girls were secretly thrilled

Ironically I thought she looked better when she put on the pounds, although not to what Marcus normally likes on here.:joker:

Well Siavash's crimes include (but were not limited to),
-the entirety of Rabbitgate (making up the rabbit comment to get Noirin close, the false piety of suggesting that he and Noirin nominate themselves to see who the public really sides with, and telling her that Kris was probably evicted because he never admitted to the comment he never made)
-the ****ing self-assurance and actually uttering the sentence "I put myself up for nomination, I have nothing to lose" after falsely accusing Tom of drinking Lisa's cider in the 10th anniversary party)
-CHEATING ON HIS GIRLFRIEND HELLO
-the goddamn pity party he threw himself after Isaac entered (calling it "an international humiliation," talking about how everyone will remember *the* earring whenever anyone says the word earring, that Bea and Noirin need to understand that their fight (which had absolutely NOTHING to do with Siavash) is somehow making HIM look like a bigger dick, etc.)
-the bull**** of refusing to nominate
-the blatant attempts at trying to appear selfless and not competitive and instilling the belief that wanting to win the money on a reality TV show is bad
-pretending that he wanted to quit in the final week
It's almost like he studied the textbook It's Not You, It's Me by Ziggy "Goldilocks" Lichman, but decided that that wasn't enough and turned everything up another notch. God it was awful.
