"Aliens Live Among Us" says Canadas former defence minister

Alien species have been visiting earth for thousands of years, says Canada’s former defense minister, and they’re worried that humans are going to wreck the planet.

“Something dreadful is going to happen to it if we don’t smarten up and change our ways,” said Paul Hellyer, who served as defense minister in the 1960s.

He’s the first top official from a G8 nation to claim that extraterrestrial life has been confirmed, and he discussed his beliefs Tuesday on Russia Today.

Hellyer said up to 80 different species regularly visit earth, from the “short grays” seen in cartoons and illustrations to species called “Nordic blondes” and “tall whites” who could almost pass as humans.

He claimed the “tall whites” are working with the U.S. Air Force in Nevada, and that two women from that species had dressed as nuns and went to Las Vegas to shop.

They come from all over the galaxy — including from Venus, Mars and Saturn’s moon, Andromedia – and other star systems, Hellyer said.

He said all but perhaps one or two of the species were benevolent and wanted to help humans, but they’re bound by a code of conduct from doing so.

“They have rules (and) one of the rules is that they don’t interfere with our affairs unless there are invited to – and that’s one of the reasons, probably, that we haven’t seen more of them until very recently,” Hellyer said.

He said military investigators had found strong evidence that at least four species had been visiting earth for much of human history, and he said their visits had become more frequent since our discovery of atomic technology.

But this subject should be taken seriously as there is a vast amount of evidence to suggest things are not what they seem.

It's absurd unless there is evidence for it. If there is, he would have had access to some of it in his role, if there isn't, then he's irrelevant.

Hypothetically speaking it's possible, but the prospect of travelling light years across space (which in itself is is a crazy achievement), visit another planet, and then just fit in with a 9-5 job? That's the crazy bit.

I definitely believe in UFOs, but this guy is talking out of his ass. He basically just repeats every thing he reads on the internet as fact. He does far more to hurt ufology than to help it.

He gets headlines because of his former position, but his former position has nothing to do with what he's saying about UFOs. He's not claiming to have seen any evidence of UFOs during his career.

It must be embarrassing for Canada that someone this naive and nutty held such a high position.

possibly but they don't have to be in human form, gold comes from outer space, so any thing could have been pulled in when the earth was being formed, plant life and micro organisms could have come to our planet from another source.

It may well turn out in 50 to 100 years time that another Einstein comes along and proves the first one wrong a bit like our Einstein proved Newton wrong. He or she may produce new theorems which show faster than light travel is possible and advanced races may have already developed technologies to transport themselves over these long distances.

Who's to say that there are even vast distances to be traversed for them to get here.

Modern theories by well respected physicists about multiple dimensions could mean that they didn't have to travel any distance at all.

Earth might be their home planet too. (and maybe they aren't very happy with what we're doing to it)
