I had a girl come in today and I asked her name and she said Neeve and I was like I bet know how to spell that and spelled it 'Niamh' and she was impressed. I then said I bet people call her Nim, Ni-am or Niaomi all the time and she was so amused by me.
I then said it was because I knew an old lady with that name. :pipe:
This seemed more interesting at the time in my head and I could have just posted this on your wall and saved everyone ten seconds of their life having to read this.
Niamh.

Oh did I not? Yeah she is Irish and smells of wee. She also has a weird obsession with fireman and gay men.
I knew how to pronounce it once with a woman and I felt warm and fussy inside

Used to know two people named Niamh - one was Irish, one was English
I know quite a few Niamhs so I never had any problem pronouncing or spelling Niamh.

Niamh
I do believe
That one day
Not too far away
You'll get your wish
To slap Ben with a fish
Across his face
With style and grace
I believe
In you Niamh

Maybe it's only common up in Scotland/northern England (and obviously Ireland & Northern Ireland) because I know loads of Niamhs, it's a fairly common name IMO
