It's stopped working for me over the last few days, and seems to put me in random parts of the threads. Is anyone else having these issues, or is it just me?

Normally it goes to the last post you have read.

Try going to the forum main page, scroll down and mark all forums read, see if that helps.

Yeah, that worked. Cheers. It was always fine, but just over the last few days, it's just dumped me back a few pages, even in threads I've read through a couple of times.

Works Fine on Firefox

This still seems really knackered at the moment to me. It ignores all the posts I've read and drops me back at the first post of the day again, every time I go into a thread. I have to click "read all forums" after everything I read.

Is anyone else having this continual issue, or is it just me? I haven't changed browser, but the site just ignores the posts I've read to drop in a thread wherever it fancies.

I don't know why that keeps happening Jesus, do you need to empty the cache on your computer?

Maybe James will know what's going on with it.

No probs, I've done everything I can my end, but it just always reverts back. If it's only me, then fine, but if others are having the same issues, then maybe it's a wider issue?

The only time it does it with me is if my browser gets closed and opened again within a short period of time (like before it thinks I've logged off again), then the new posts seem to reset back to when I first went online

Which threads does it affect, and which post does it put you to when you click Go to New Post?

It should go to the first post after the last visited time shown at the top-right of the page.

All of them. Just to give an example of what happens:

Generic 14 page thread exists. I go to last post and it will take me to page 7. I read all the posts to catch up with the whole thread, then I may click on that thread later when it's, say, up to 18 pages, but it drops me back at page 7 again, despite the fact that I've completely caught up with the thread already.

However, it's been completely fine today for reasons that I can't understand.

You don't use the Tapatalk Notifier plugin on Chrome, do you? That keeps you logged in to the forum (I think) and, with Go to New Post, would show older posts that you have already read.

The way Go to New Post works is it goes to the posts in a thread after the Last Visited time at the top-right of the forum.

No - although it's a computer that I use for work as well, so it's on pretty much on 24hrs a day, and I never log out unless I'm cleaning the computer and it does it automatically.

It had never happened until about a week before I made this thread, then it was constantly doing it, but then yesterday it just went back to working properly, and it's also been fine today. It looks like I was the only person having the issue, so thanks for looking into it and offering potential solutions, but I think it's sorted itself out.
