The X Factor USA has been cancelled by Fox.
The Simon Cowell talent show was on the air for three seasons. The series producer and judge earlier announced his return to the UK X Factor.
Demi Lovato, Paulina Rubio, Kelly Rowland and Simon Cowell on The X Factor USA first live show
Cowell said in a statement: "I've had a fantastic time over the last 12 years, both on The X Factor and American Idol.
"And apart from being lucky enough to find some amazing talent on the shows, I have always had an incredible welcome from the American public (most of the time!).
"Last year, for a number of reasons, I had to make a decision to return to the UK version of The X Factor in 2014. So for now, I'm back to the UK and I want to thank Fox for being an incredible partner and I also want to thank everybody who has supported my shows.

It seemed like it was destined to failure from the start.
I knew it would flop, the Voice is huge over there so...
At least he can focus on XF UK Now

It ended on a high anyway. Alex and Sierra were adorable. Simon won the last series. Now he can come back to the UK where he belongs.

The first year was great. Better than anything the UK show has done. Since then it was ****e though and made even more cringe by the UK people and their "OMG, it is so much better" when it was just as poor

It never was going to translate well on US television. The Voice is far superior (over there).

Major flop and it ruined the quality of our series. BYE
So glad he's coming back. XFUK > USA any day.

Great news. He can always return to being an American Idol judge as well if he wants, he was good on that.

They have America's Got Talent
(and they invest in variety acts, the public love em, it doesn't turn into X Factor 2.0 like over here)
Oh and I enjoyed all 3 series of X Factor USA and liked about 8 people in the live shows this year, compared to our 3 with Kingsland, Luke and Abi. Two of which flopped.

This is so true, The Variety acts the last two years have been excellent and broke the singer's streak that ran on a bit too long. Although the show's format is a bit different in the states, (Instead of just sending the Top 48 through, there's a Vegas Round that's like Idol's Hollywood. And we don't have 10 acts in the final.)
The current panel (Mel B, Heidi Klum, Comedian Howie Mandel, Shock Jock Radio DJ Howard Stern) is great.
Shame XFUS got cancelled, I loved it. Eh, I have a feeling it might get revived in 3-4 years though.

Her and Jeff Gutt were an absolute flawless, adorable pairing tyvm. One of my favourite on a talent show.
