Like Hayden said we got rid of the strong players who were also likely to make the final when we had the opportunity too but some of the others failed to get rid of myself and Jake when they had the chance.

I never once won HOH or POV lol. The only time I got owt was when Cuda gave me HOH status and when I won hangman for Jack. Idg why people think I'm a threat in games, I never win them, can't keep up usually in challenges as can't post fast enough on my phone. :grin2:

It was obvious to me, when I saw the castlist I predicted you two to be Final 2 straight away, although I expected Natalie to be 3rd, It's just my thoughts. Oh, and I expected you to survive elimination, you are close to a lot of members, and you two would never go against each other & talk all the time on Skype, and more likely than not help each other on all the competitions offsite.

Good evening and welcome to the jury house questions, a chance for the members of the jury to pick apart the finalists, Drew and Jake, strategies and game play.

Later on I will open the votes for each member of the jury to cast their vote on who should be crowned this seasons winner tomorrow night.


Before then let us have a look at what the finalists had to say about their journey to the final....

Wow, I never thought I'd be in the final when I started. There have been genuine moments where I've already came to the conclusion that I was going to leave, but I managed to claw back, and here I am. I'll try to fit in as much as I remember, but these two odd weeks have been eventful to say the least...

I started the game already with a bit of an idea of what I had to do. After being shafted and finishing 4th in Elimination 8, I gathered that this time all guns would be blazing, given the contestants who had signed up. I had my thinking cap on and I knew more about alliances and what they can do. So, straight away, I got old Drew on the blower and said that I wanted to make an alliance with him, when the obvious occurred to me; the bigger, the better. Kate, Shaun, Natalie, and Jack_ were soon on board, and we were good to go. I then had to make a very hard choice in voting out Raph (sorry mate) mainly because I had to keep the alliance on side (they wouldn't take too kindly to a member jumping ship per say) and with that, the first big threat was gone.

For a while after, it was just a case of going with the rest of the alliance, trying to alter some things where I could, not too much to arouse suspicion (such as mentioning to a couple why it might be an idea to target one of our own sooner rather than later). Myself and Drew agreed very early on that we would both try and be in the final together, so I had to keep such in mind. Then, Kate's elimination took place... the 'icona pop group' as Shaun so wonderfully called it was starting to be found out by the others, and it was only a matter of time. It was a risk, but I had to get others on my side, so Jackc and Loukas were on my list. I didn't really try with some others such as Pete because he's as crafty as me (that's a compliment) and isn't easily swayed. With a couple more on my side, I was praying to be safe.

Hayden PM'd me before Shaun's elimination, and he reassured me that Shaun would be going as long as everything went to plan, soon enough proposing myself, Jack_ and himself making it to the final three. Of course, I naturally 'agreed'. This was one of the biggest players on my side so for now, I couldn't turn it down. I then had to place two up for elimination when I won HOH, and much to his shock, Hayden was up on the chopping block with Pete. I convinced him that this was just a plan to get Pete out, and that I would convince Drew to vote Pete as well. Obviously I didn't, and when the opportunity came, we voted him out, mainly because he was the biggest threat and was doing so well in the game (apologies Hayden). I then relied on Natalie being voted out over me, which she was, and Pete being eliminated over me by Drew was a no brain-er. The final was approaching even closer now for two of us... and I had been in the luckiest position all game.

Me and Jack had been discussing what would happen if either of us won the final HoH, and I allowed him to believe that I was mostly set on taking him with me over Drew, and Jack was always going to take me anyway. Drew was also always going to take me, so although I lost the final HoH, I knew that I was guaranteed to be in the final with either.

I'm not saying that I've played better than Drew, and I firmly believe that he deserves a place in this final, probably above anybody. But if you appreciate my game plan, how I managed to help form a large alliance, how I was able to get other players on side when the ship began to sink, how I had perhaps the biggest player on side and then had him eliminated and how I secured a place in the final, perhaps you might see that I haven't done too badly after all?

I guess it's a bit of a miracle that i've made the final. With so many great game players and popular members of the forum playing it was always going to be hard to gain maximum trust from players who have strong bonds and friendships with other players in the game.

This is the most involved i've ever been in a forum game. I usually feel bad going against my word in previous games but i've left friendships out of the equation and tried to do whatever i can to make it to the final without forming enemies. At the beginning when i saw myself and Jake were both in the game, straight away i told him we'd stick together and we'd make it to the final if we did just that, and here we are. To start with i had no real game plans, i wanted a strong player to team with who i could trust and that was it. I can't even remember how i ended up in it but the famous Icona Pop alliance was created and the plan was to sit back and just do whatever they told me to do. I wanted to let the other members of it have the final say on who we'd put up and eliminate and i was hoping maybe some of them would slip up and reveal some of their tactics along the way. In allowing them to come up with key decisions i was letting them seem like they were the stronger players, this was in hope that when the alliance finally had to come up against each other when the numbers were down that others were seen as bigger threats and wouldn't target me.

The whole game could have been over during so many occasions. I didn't have much luck with HoH wins. I came close on quite a few occasions and managed to win 2, i was pretty successful with my PoV wins which got me out of bad situations though. I was up against Kate who was eliminated by 1 vote, I was even up against Jake for elimination at one stage where i managed to pull off the PoV victory to save myself and Jake also managed to stay in - this was probably the 2nd biggest moment of the game for me. The 2nd to last PoV was a key moment too. It was between myself and Pete to win PoV to stay in the game after being put up by HoH and i managed to win the game of 21 3-2.

From the start i've known Pete, Sam Jc, Hayden and possibly Loukas were in an alliance together and when it came down to HoH the other night i knew if neither of our group won HoH then it was game over. Luckily i won it and stuck Hayden (who has been my biggest threat) and Sam up. When we saw that it was either myself or Jack winning PoV we were pretty relieved that nobody would be replaced then. Jack told us before it was revealed that he had saved Hayden and later told myself and Jake his plans to join Hayden and those two had a pretty detailed sketch of how they wanted the game to plan out so that they could make the final 2. I spent all night with Jake trying to persuade him of ways how he could continue with myself, Jake and Nat still and by telling him Hayden was certain to keep Pete, Sam and JC with him had he not voted Sam out then Jack would be shafted as soon as they reached the final 4 and Hayden would take one of the other players to the final with him to secure his win.

After hours of talking Jack was back on side with us and he was persuaded to save Loukas and vote Sam out. Had i not managed to persuade him then that was game over right there and then. We'd have been outnumbered massively. Jack felt quite bad about it all and let slip of quite a few tactics he had and who Haydens group wanted to vote out next etc so i started pm'ing Loukas as i thought he was still a bit of an outsider to try and get him on side, i told him i had solid proof (which i did, but i wouldn't share it with him) that Hayden and his group wanted him out but i'm not sure whether he believed me or not. I also sent Hayden a PM letting him know that the jury would see Jacks move to ditch us and join him as a game changer for him had they made the final together and that they'd probably have sided with Jack and voted for him to win in the hope Hayden would reply back admitting to his plans and just to worry Hayden i was onto him. I shared this with Jack and he also became worried that Hayden was planning to get rid of him.

Jacks side of the deal to join back with myself, Jake and Nat was that he wanted Hayden, Myself, Jake and him to make the final 4 together, i obviously agreed to this and let Hayden know. This was just to secure my place in the game had Hayden won the next HoH even though my intentions were always to put Hayden up the next chance i had. When Jake won the next HoH i was onto him immediately telling him to put Hayden and one of his alliance up, but i knew Jake and Hayden had been talking from the start so it took a bit of persuading, thankfully Nat won PoV and i persuaded her not to change the two up for elimintion. If the plan had failed then that could have been game over. Both Jack and Hayden would have been onto us from that moment on. But getting rid of Hayden meant Jack didn't have anyone else to go to and had to stick with us till at least the final 4.

Jack winning the final few HoH's always had me worried, I'd message Jake after he won them and i'd tell him this was probably the moment he'd put me up to get rid of me but that moment never came, i was quite surprised he didn't get rid of me when he had the chance, i appreciate his loyalty during the 2nd half of the game. Obviously there were moments in the game which helped me get this far. Shaun and Kate being eliminated early on mainly. I'd have had a real struggle playing against those two in the later stages. I've managed to read quite a few players and predict nearly all of the outcomes to Jack and Jake. I've probably forgot a couple of things but it's been so great playing, ****ing stressful at times but ending up in the final with Jake has been a great outcome.

I don't think so no. My votes helped towards eliminating some of the biggest threats in the game, Hayden for instance and Pete towards the end. There are times i wanted certain players to go earlier on in the game. I would have preferred to have had Jack out during the final 4 as i thought he'd be guaranteed to win the final HoH but i think i've always chosen the correct players to eliminate which is a reason i've got this far.

1 - Either yourself or Hayden for different reasons. I'm not sure whether i'd call it an alliance but we became pretty loyal to what we said to each other through pm's towards the end of the game. I was able to keep you in and i stuck to my word and you then returned the favour and didn't put me up for elimination so for that i think i'd have found it quite easy to form a healthy alliance and trust with you. Hayden - The strongest player outside of the Icona Pop group tactics wise. He was always onto people and knew when someone was up to something. We were both quite competitive at HoH tasks and I think we've both proved to be good at persuading people to do things we wanted so we'd have made a strong pairing.

2 - I'd say Jack. Although i felt gutted for him yesterday when i had to eliminate him we've been competitive with each other throughout the entire game. I've had my eye on him from the start and i'm sure he was keeping eyes on me too. But there was always a strange competitive alliance about us which always felt like "may the best man win". We both needed each other at times to get further into the game and we both knew a time would come when one of us needed to make the first move to get rid of the other person. But it was such a relief when i finally pipped him to that final HoH win and i'm sure he'd love to get some revenge in the future and i'd love to come up against him again too.

1 - I had quite a bit of info from Jack about your groups tactics. This played a part trying to get you eliminated because i had tried to get Loukas on side and even though it was 100% certain Loukas was safe after Jack agreed to eliminate Sam, i told Loukas that i was doing everything i could to get him saved and in return i wanted to get him on side.. it was a bit of a win/win situation. Loukas was being quite cagey with me after and Jack had told me how you lot wanted to get Loukas out next so i said to him i had proof that some players want you out (aka you) to try and persuade him to vote you out. Jack was certain you weren't in an alliance with Loukas but i knew it all along, Thats the part i had figured out which Jack didn't know. Jack became really unsure once i told him though (that may have been a factor into him eliminating you). And before siding back with us Jack had mentioned how he probably wouldn't take you to the final 2 had there been 3 of you left, He was giving away a lot of ammo for me to stir the game up had i been eliminated or left in the game with the two of you in the final 4 but i never needed any excuses to use it in the end.

2 - I don't think i had one. The chances of that happening are so slim it never even crossed my mind. I was always certain at least 2/3 of us would have been guaranteed a jury spot. If that had have happened then i'd probably have messaged JC or Loukas to get them on side as i felt those two were the most isolated in the game without any big alliances.

1. That would have to be Hayden. Obviously I know that I had a fake alliance with him, but he was a very strong competitor and having him on side for that short time was great enough, as I felt a great deal of safety. With Hayden, you can get far.

2. Also Hayden. Because he understands the concept of the game, I didn't find shafting him a tough decision, because I knew it would get me further on in the game. Becoming close to him was perhaps the best choice I made, because it made him trust me.

- I have a feeling that a lot of people are going to say that you didn't quite play as much of a game as Drew did, but you've survived a lot of Eliminations this series... my question is: do you think aligning with Drew has helped or hindered you in the final?

In all honesty, I think I know what the outcome is going to be, but perhaps my game just wasn't as obvious? I certainly didn't sit back with a cheeky gin & tonic whilst the work was done for me.. but being in the final with Drew has hindered me somewhat, because I believe that had it of been another player, I might have had more of a chance...

1. Bits of info I was probably referring to was from discussions with other players such as yourself. Saying that, Jack did come in handy with providing info, and when we convinced him away from that alliance, a bit more began to slip, and we could use it to our advantage (such as him saying that he probably wouldn't take you to the final 2 etc)

2. To align with yourself probably, given how you were perhaps the strongest player at one point in the game. Your alliance seemed to do as you told, and it would have been a nice safety net for me. Eventually I would have probably made more contact with you to keep you more on my side, so that we could discuss who the next targets would be, whilst swaying some of the others without having you know.

1. Hmmm... probably either getting the alliance itself formed, of having Hayden on side for some of the game and then lying to him/getting him eliminated. I'd probably say the latter, it was a risky move if he survived. but myself and Drew managed to pull it off, and it 100% benefited me at the time. Having him on side kept me safe for a while, whilst putting him up and having him eliminated meant that the biggest threat was now gone. Guaranteeing myself a place in the final also obviously benefited me greatly.

2. The scenario of me winning HoH and taking somebody else through entered me head yeah, mainly because I knew that if I, for example, had won and taken you, there would be more of a chance of me winning. Ultimately though, if push came to shove, I think I was always going to take Drew. I know that he shafted me during Elimination 8 but after how closely we had worked together, me being the soft tit I am, I would have felt too bad for not taking him.

1 - It depends. I felt i always had 2 people that i could trust at every stage of the game up until the final 3. I had Jake and Nat for nearly the entire game on my side. Everything i asked of them whether it was putting certain players up for elimination or voting for someone they listened to me. So i guess planning to keep more than 1 person on side at every stage of the game was the biggest factor. Once Hayden left i felt you had no choice but to stick with myself and Jake so even when Nat left i had the two of you. When it came to the risky later stages i then teamed up with Pete to an extent and he didn't put me up for elimination which would have seen me gone. Whenever i knew it was certain a player was safe i'd message them and i'd tell them i was doing everything i could to keep them in and they seemed to return the favour so that's probably something else that was key.

2 - I mistakenly eliminated Jake in the final 4 last year but there was never a chance i'd eliminate him this time round. The numbers were always against us so getting rid of alliance members would have been stupid early on. In the later stages it was always 3 against 2 or 2 against 1 so making sure i had someone on my side kept me pretty safe. But no, the plan was always to make the final with him.

1 - I didn't really have any targets straight away. It was too hard to tell who the strong and active players were outside of the alliance. It probably would have been someone i didn't know so well, Loukas or Cuda perhaps.

2 - I don't think i have gone wrong. I've managed to go the entire game without making any great enemies going into the jury and i've made the final with Jake which is exactly what was planned.

1 - Probably making my strategy known to people itself. Everyone loves an underdog going into the final and i've seen numerous people saying they'd be voting for me in the thread. I believe i've done enough to be in with a chance of winning but people saying how great my game plan was so early on may have effected my chances.

2 - Erm, probably Pete? I think had he put me up with Jake in the later stages then the game would have been wide open. He could have been in with a real chance of winning had he put the right people up.

1. I'll try not to answer this in the same way that I answered Sam's :laugh: perhaps lloking back now, if I played again, I would have attempted to form smaller alliances with more players than I did this time. Although I managed to make the final, there were points in which I believed that my game was slipping. For example, making sure that Pete was on side like Drew did would have been a fine road to take, given how it secured his position in the latter stages (well played Drew).

2. As much as I like him, I'd have to say JC. Despite me first believing that he was alligned with Hayden's group, this proved not to be the case. Although not joining major alliances can be a fine strategy, eventually people will have to start voting for you and that's it. It's a shame because he didn't play badly, I just don't think that he thought enough into his strategy at the time.

Good evening and welcome to the Finale of Elimination 9. Just over three weeks ago 16 of you started the game to compete for this years crown.

One by one you betrayed, backstabbed and were eventually blindsided out of the game leaving just Drew and Jake to face off in the final.


The jury have cast their votes and shortly I shall be revealing who this seasons winner is.

After players assigned themselves into a list Tom became the first HoH by placing himself 9th in the list. His first task was to place all remaining players into pairs who would compete together until further notice. He also chose Sam and Pete to face the first elimination.

During the first PoV task in which players had to claim times, an argument erupted between Tom and Pete over Tom being called an ape, all thanks to a devious Drew starting it and then sitting back and watching it all unfold.

The tension between Tom and Pete continued, but Shaun won the PoV and saved his partner Pete from the chopping block.

Benji who had yet to make an appearance was placed on the block instead which for me could not have worked out better as the first elimination was a vote to save (unbeknownst) to the players and the majority chose to eliminate Sam, meaning they actually saved him.

Benji became the first player to be eliminated.

Hayden joined the game and became Tom's partner, while JC gained the first Golden Key.

The second HoH was won by Natalie, and for the Icona Pop alliance this meant an early start at control in the game.

She placed Jemal and Raph on the block with every intention of Raph being eliminated which was strengthened by Shaun winning his second PoV in a row and leaving the nominees as they were.

Despite a last minute effort from Jack F, Sam and Tom the votes went against them and Raph became the second player eliminated.

With Sam gaining the second Golden Key the Icona Pop alliance were forced to turn their attentions elsewhere for the next target. A few mentions of Pete occurred but were soon dissipated when somebody pointed out that he would be better left until later in the game as he was an easy target to survive against (lol wrong), so instead the attention turned towards Loukas.

With the HoH being a lovely game of Bingo, a very close call between JC and Natalie saw Natalie winning her second HoH in a row and solidify the IP alliance a little more as she placed Jack F and Loukas up.

They hadn't counted on Loukas clawing back though and he took the PoV and himself of the block.

Natalie then listened the the IP alliance and the attention turned to Tom due to his easy target status after his blows with Pete and knowing that Pete would vote for Tom no matter what. They were right and he played straight into their hands as Tom was voted out with a vote of 10 -1

Hayden gained the final Golden Key and with Tom gone the arguments looked to settle down. Wrong. Jemal seemed to start rubbing a few people up the wrong way.

With Tom's departure he handed the HoH to Kate, without realising she and her alliance had been one of the main reasons he was out of the game.

Kate wanted to look out for her partner Loukas, so went and put Pete up and Jemal with every intention of getting Jemal out.

When Shaun won his third PoV it pretty much sealed Jemal's fate as Shaun saved Pete, and Kate placed Jack F as his replacement.

Jemal went out with a vote of 9 - 1

The Golden Key holders were presented with a box; Pandora's box. They had 30 minutes to decide whether to open it or not.

I warned them that there would be consequences good and bad which ever choice they made. JC wanted to risk it, but Hayden and Sam refused to open it which worked well in their favour; they were the only players allowed to compete for HoH and PoV, much to the annoyance of Drew who threw his first of a several paddy's in the game :laugh:

The players were then treated to a show of their strategies so far, which for some players threw a spanner in the works, especially for a few IP members who now started to question the loyalty of each other.

With Hayden starting to show signs of becoming a strong player he won the HoH and took the first opportunity to place Drew up, along with Kate. This was the first properly BIG move in the game, and despite this people seemed to believe Kate was the stronger player and took this moment to get her out of the game, leaving a bewildered Drew to wonder how he had got himself out of that.
