(Story from Ananova)
Les Dennis has signed up for a one-week role in Crossroads - and could become a regular on the ITV soap.
He will begin filming the part of psychiatrist Dr Richmond, as soon as he returns from holiday in South Africa.
Producer Yvon Grace says the warm-hearted character is well suited to Les.
She told The Sun: "Les's character is a really nice, down-to-earth, warm-hearted psychiatrist. I thought this role would suit his character really well.
"The storyline is that he gets involved with maid Beena Shah, who basically becomes a bunny boiler. He is sent in to sort her out.
"Les has been initially cast for around a week's worth of shows but there is a lot of opportunity for him to become a regular."
Ms Grace added: "The show is going to be sexy and glam, a sort of teatime Dallas.
"The women are beautiful, the men are gorgeous and the plots fantastic," she said.

Does anyone still watch 'Crossroads?'
I know it's been off the air for a while recently, but I have to admit I never watched the new 'improved' :conf: version.
Never missed an episode back in the good old days of Meg, Sandy, Jill, Benny and Ms. Diane, though.
