I really don't understand the concept of generations, does it mean who lives in your house?

3 now, my great grandparents passed away a couple of years ago and my great, great grandparents when I was a kid

Nah like 'levels' of family if that makes sense; so if you have any living grandparents then that's one generation, your parents, aunts and uncles would be a second generation, you are a third generation along with any cousins, if you or any cousins had any kids then that would be a fourth generation etc...

My grandparents are all still living, all 4 of them and hopefully for at least another 10 years healthly, god knows how I'll cope without my mums side </3.
Parents/Aunts & Uncles
Me & my older brother then all of my cousins, but I only associate myself with 2.

4 generations living but have knowledge of family as early as late 1800's who come from Canada and Italy, a lot of Welsh have Italian relatives apparently though hence the dark features. Would love to find out more.

Got 3, family is just getting bigger at the moment
I had so many wedding in last two years, 2012 there was like wedding all the times, from April - October there just wedding after wedding after wedding. (Including my sister got married that year)
My brother got married last year, thankfully there were two last year! ,
the last wedding I went to was so awkward,
Huge fight kicked off in pre-wedding party the night before, black eyes and chairs went flying I heard the next morning!
The mood was just not right, those people ruined the wedding, the next day half cousin didn't even turn up!

well there would have to be, even if the oldest of the 5th generation is 90 years old, that would mean you'd have only 18 years between each generation if you space it out evenly...

Your maths is a bit off as you're assuming that the youngest member is at least 18...
For example, there could be a newborn baby, parent aged 26, grandparent aged 52, great grandparent aged 78... 4 generations with a perfectly reasonable gap of 26 years between generations. You could even feasibly squeeze in a fifth generation aged 98... As women being married with children aged around 20 was quite normal 75+ years ago.
As for myself, a measly 3... My parents, myself and my sister, and my two girls. Two of my grandparents were dead before I was born, another when I was 5 and the final one at just 8! So for more than 15 years until I had my first, there were just TWO :o.

I'm pretty proud of my 4 generations....
The oldest is 96, youngest nearly 2. My parents were in their 20s when they had me and my brother and we were both in our 30s when we had kids....no tackiness involved

me and my siblings and my cousins (i have like twenty cousins on my dads side who are around late 20s, and 2 on my mums side who are 5 and i think 13?)
my second cousins (dont even know half of them, some are younger and some are older)
my dad's a child of 8 i think which is why i have so many, mainly in contact with mum's side which is a lot smaller though, and around half of my dad's siblings and a few of my cousins/second cousins
