Slightly pisses me off that it comes back to "racist" connotations though.
Some people look alike, it's not about thinking all black people look the same.

He looks nothing like Laurence Fishbourne. :suspect:

Meh, it's more of a professionalism thing really. As an anchorman surely he was told he was going to speak to SLJ.
Laurence looks pissed off in that pic
But yeah it was pretty ignorant of the anchor imo.

I've confused the two on occasion, eventhough they don't look alike at all really, I don't know why I get them mixed up in my head

It was ignorant, too true. That is part of their job, to research and know what they are talking about, it's a pretty poor show if they don't even know who they are speaking to.
I would fire his sorry ass....
(this reminds me of something I need to ask someone....)

It's not even them looking alike that's the issue it's that the anchorman thought of Laurence Fishburne before Samuel L Jackson when SLJ is the bigger actor Lol

Because he's the world's coolest man. He rocks in everything he's in. Watch Django Unchained then tell me he's the same in everything.
Anyhoo...
The bit of the interview that made me laugh was when the interviewer who mistook him for Fishburne (what a doofus...) said "Let's move on..." and Jackson replied "HELL no..."
Oh yeah, and when he said "I bet there was a really short line for your job". Legend...
