Nice enough review, in part, but a disappointing 6/10 only!
Really hope this beautiful song makes it to No. 1.

By the standards of reviews, of TV talent show people, by 'serious' music journalists that's a fairly good score.
I was looking at the archives and Will Young's first single got a similar mark - 5 - and review that doesn't read quite as positive as David's.
Will's duet with Gareth was really slated though.
Darius's album was quite highly thought of mind you.

David is making his debut appearance on TOTPs tonight.
This is actually quite unusual as they normally have a policy of not having anyone on until their single is released, and preferably already in the charts.
I suppose they are giving him extra promotion because FA was a BBC show.

I think music critics are just scared to show any kind of praise to singers who have made it from reality tv. its a shame because this song is really good but then again, each to their own.:dazzler:

There's plenty of chances to catch David on other shows though.
Including Saturday Show tomorrow, TOTP repeated in the wee small hours,
On Sunday a programme called Smile on BBC 2 at 8:00 am, Fame Academy Remixed on BBC Choice at 8:00 pm.
I thought David was really good actually. Smashing.

What exactly is this, James? It doesn't say anything about it in my TV mag.
:wavey:
I think it is another chance to see the same docmentary that was shown a couple of days after the final.
The full title is 'Fame Academy Remixed: The Winners Story'.

Thanks, LEE.
I didn't see this the first time it was on so I'll definitely be watching it this Sunday.
