Emma Willis: 'I'm happy to be called the new Davina McCall'

Emma Willis has said that she is flattered by comparisons to Davina McCall.

The presenter took over from Brian Dowling as the host of Channel 5's Big Brother last year

McCall previously presented Big Brother from 2000 to 2010 on Channel 4.

Willis told The Mirror: "I owe Big Brother a lot. I know that show inside out, and I love all the contestants who take part.

"Some people call me the new Davina McCall and I'm happy to take that! She is one of my idols on TV, and I've admired her for a long time."

She continued: "The Voice is definitely the biggest thing I've done.

"I never thought that my first job for the BBC would be on one of its flagship prime time shows. I was also offered it outright without an audition, which had never happened to me before.

"There's definitely pressure on me - it's terrifying to be in front of the biggest audience I've ever worked to!

I think there very like each other, both love the show I would be happy to see Emma host BB for how ever the show last for.

Davina got really annoying towards the end of her stint.

Emma is a great host and I love that she has seen every episode and she always talks about BB in her interviews.

Emma is the one of the best parts of my big brother watching experience..she makes it feel like more than a "show" imo
