A day at the Spa

Been to a spa at The Hilton NEC B'ham today,we had a hot stone back massage,a facial massage,a steam room session,a sauna session and finished off in the pool,I am now absolutely knackered,lol,Has anyone experience of these and did you enjoy them? I must say the massage is so good.I found the steam room a bit overpowering though.

Yes it was a gift from my brother and his wife,first time I had been ,but loved it,we did have a laugh,i was trying to be all coy when a group of guys passed us so I covered myself in a towel as I had my cosie on and just as they were coming in the sauna my towel dropped off,we were still laughing about that on the way home.

When we went to centre parcs, my mums plan was for me and her to have a day at the spa there..but then I told her I was pregnant so that was out of the window and I bet its never on the table again :bored:

The only proper massage I have ever had was at a turkish bath. It was excruciating and really embarassing...it did not relax me at all, PLUS she made me turn over when topless and started massaging my boobs and belly.... Bear in mind this came after being literally locked in the sauna for nearly an hour, then being scrubbed with what I can only describe as a gigantic scouring pad, then having ice thrown on me, followed by nearly boiling water.

I advise anyone to stay well clear of turkish baths if they go to turkey D:

I agree with the Turkish ones Vicky,especially the cold water chucked over you!!! its not good,lol,and some of the guys are a bit pervy,but this was nothing like them and we had lady massaurs:hugesmile:
