..I stole this from another site but it's a really interesting video plus I think it's quite relevant to the discussion about the neutral gender parenting because to me anyway, it shows that tolerance, understanding and lack of prejudice is something that we teach our children and has nothing to do with how we would dress them etc and why I'm quite dubious about what those parents are doing, even though I'm sure that their intentions are good...

..anyway, it's quite a long vid but really worth watching...

Kids are pretty much a blank slate and would not "hate Gays" as you say. Our prejudices and Social conditioning makes children hate and fear "Gays". This is learned behaviour not natural.

It was 13 kids from california, we dont know their background or social status. I would imagine it would be easy to go into the hood and get 13 kids who all laugh and say its wrong or get 13 kids from christian families who will say that it is evil.

Unless we know the motivation of the maker then i would say its safe to perhaps assume that there were edited to be positive,.

..ahh ok...I have, whether it be the children at school or my own, I've found that they really like to see their parents 'humanised' and not just mum and dad...I think probably when they get to be early teenagers, they sometimes get a bit embarrassed though...

That's the sad thing - at that age, you don't hate social issues but your parents do. I've watched a lot of the Kids React videos (there's also Teens, Youtubers and Elders react - it's a great series, soon to be a TV programme apparently :dance: ) and that particular kid is actually quite articulate and intelligent. Hopefully he'll grow out of thinking being gay is wrong.

Before the arista bashing commences he has a valid point, depending on where and how you are raised culturally and sociologically it will have had an impact on how kids react, that's the definition of socialisation.
Before that happens then yes everything will be accepted if it's seen as a cultural norm, incest... ritual animal slaughter... anything.
( they are just two examples of norms from other cultures, I'm not attempting to draw any comparisons)

FGS why don't you give examples when spewing out all these comments heres a FACT for you: Gay marriage is still not legal in England until the end of this month and in Northern Ireland it will remain illegal for the foreseeable future.

Its like you are blaming the gay community for apparently not letting the elderly or the NHS get the airtime and column pages needed to raise awareness when if you turn on the tv or look in the paper its full of the nhs and the elderly pretty much all the time.

They are the UK's biggest talking points even though the government are failing both. This thread is actually about gay marriage and you said you were not interested in this topic so you may aswell move on if you are going to rant about disabled people, gay people can be disabled aswell btw so don't pigeon hole everyone.
