[North Korea Regime Compared To Nazis By UN
A UN report says the number of officials likely to
be responsible for the gravest crimes
potentially runs "into hundreds".
An unprecedented study into human rights
abuses in North Korea has detailed the
government's alleged crimes against humanity.
The UN inquiry's report said that police and
security forces "systematically employ violence
and punishments that amount to gross human
rights violations".
It added that torture is an "established feature
of the interrogation process", and that food is
used as a means of control over the population.
Inquiry chairman Michael Kirby said the
crimes were "strikingly similar" to Nazi-era atrocities.]

Hardly Hitler killed so many more.

Strikingly similar to Nazi era atrocities in fashion, not in numbers, arista, though I hardly think playing a numbers game is appropriate when it comes to measuring cruelty...

It's really shocking that so many people can be oppressed by so few. It's a fascinating part of human psychology that such a small group of people can oppress an entire nation. Logic says, why aren't they rising up? Why can't the North Korean people rise up and defeat this relatively small number of people in charge.

I guess because the government quickly abducts the people who do stand up, and everyone else is just so terrified. Still the people have the numbers, if they all agreed to stand up and resist, It would be over tomorrow. Look at how quickly Colonel Ghadaffi fell when his people rose up against him.
