The deadline is set for February 27th hope they dont axe bb and cbb again worrying times I must say also their would be possible cost cutting to the production as well

Given how the latest series averaged the most in years, yeah it's looking likely

In my dreams, C5 would axe it and C4 would buy it and pick up the pieces, and make it better again.

It's actually quite depressing how it is now, it feels fake.

Basically, here's Sarah Millican to describe how I feel:
Big Brother, that's on channel 5 now, which is a bit like an old friend becoming a prositute.

They better keep it otherwise they would be complete dipsticks for getting rid of their Flagship show that pulls their highest ratings!!! Keep praying the new owners keep it plz...

C5 BB's have been better than BB11 and the last CBB was one of the best so.. Sarah can shut up tbh.

I would hope so, but they should drop summer CBB.

It's not even bad on C5 ffs, BB14 was amazing and so was BB13 , it just had a bad start

I expect new owners would carry on with Big Brother at least initially given that it's Channel 5's biggest series - but there's no doubt a sale of C5 would have a major effect on it. Richard Desmond invests a lot of money in BB and a new owner might not be so flush with the cash - and of course it would lose the guaranteed press coverage from his media empire.

On the plus side though, if C5 is taken over by an entity that's less focussed on celebrity status and generating tabloid stories then they may axe the summer Celeb series.

I agree with this

Channel 4's Big Brother was terrible by the end, I'm pretty sure it would have continued to go downhill if they kept it, and very much doubt they would be able to bring it back to the days of BB5-7 if they were to bring it back. It's fine as it is on Channel 5.

Hmm interesting this move could be a good thing and a bad thing

What if channel 4 decides to sly bid and get it back on the cheap?
