Not bothered. I can't imagine Big Brother ever getting cancelled. I bet we have the show for at least another 10 years. It's the highest rating show on Channel 5. Just wish they brought back 24 7 live feed. They should spend less on decorating the house and give us back live feed.

Channel 4 will not buy back Big Brother OR Celebrity Big Brother anytime soon. The show is staying with Channel 5 for the foreseeable future, even if this series will be the last.

Channel 4 are too stubborn to go back on their decision to cancel their best performing show. There aren't any rumours either - the OP has no reliable source at all. Channel 5 have Big Brother and the show won't be returning to Channel 4.

The last time Big Brother was renewed it was in April. We're just at the end of February.

This Celebrity series has proved that the show still gets press coverage away from Desmond's press industry. The Sun, Mirror etc were covering the show. So no, this summer isn't the death of the show - you just like creating your own rumours.

Because there was something after BB14 that said the contract would run out after BB15, but they've already signed contracts for the house to stay until 2018(?).

The planning permission for the house and the production contract are completely separate. Endemol renewed the lease on the house for three years in 2010 long before Channel 5 had signed the deal to acquire the rights to the show.

I'm not worried there hasn't been a contract renewal yet, both the original contract and its first renewal were announced to the public in April so there's plenty of time.

But yes, I am a bit concerned about what a new owner would want to do with it.

C5 have actually had some of the best bb and cbb series, although nothing will ever top c4's bb5 (nadia et al) or the greatest hm bb3 jade (love or hate she did actually become a cultual icon in media for so called chav class). But Aaron in c5's bb12 was best winner.

My name gripes with c5 are showmance obsession, lack of live feed, manipulation, bit on the side propaganda and bias, lack of punishment, unwanted return of vte and lack of diversity (too many models, samey white hms and under 30s), would love to see witty smart girls (pretty or not) and the sort of girls who don't pose in daily star in bikinis, more than 2 black/ asian hms (see bb10) and at least 3 over 35s in cbb this year the most entertaining were the oldies lionel, jim, linda and even liz had her moments... what did ollie and sam do? Also hate racial stereotyping eg arrgumentative white girl depicted as stong and feisty, argumentative (dark skinned) black girl depicted as rude, aggressive, scary and nasty
