what's with this recent trend of people saying 'lol' in real life like 'lawl', not even subtly but a really loud, strong 'lawwllllll' every time something mildly funny happens
firstly that word should be restricted to the Internet and secondly I must be the only person who says it as l-o-l, 'lawl' just sounds really stupid and weird
it needs to stop

I have never heard anyone say lol in RL
Idk but this girl in secondary school used to say it and my friend had a go at her

actually lul is a good one, i do like saying that
I first heard this during summer time last year in RL, was walking down the high street and there was two teenaged girls in front of us and one of them said LAWL in reply to her friend, I just looked at Stuart at the same time he looked at me so knew he had heard it too and we both just rolled our eyes.
Definitely something that should be confined to the internet.

Eurgh, a kid in my class used to do that when something bad happened to someone. He left :smug:
