Why would anyone bother making pancakes for a Christian festival no one seems to believe in? Why not just have them today? Unless you're going on to give something up for Lent on Ash Wednesday, having pancakes on Shrove Tuesday seems a bit empty to me.

Why would anyone bother making pancakes for a Christian festival no one seems to believe in? Why not just have them today? Unless you're going on to give something up for Lent on Ash Wednesday, having pancakes on Shrove Tuesday seems a bit empty to me.

Nah, Asda do 4 large ones on offer for 50p.
Lemon and raisin are my favourites.
The Maple syrup ones are lush as well.


If you want homemade it is Yorkshire pudding batter more or less.:hugesmile:

Never really bothered with them since I was younger. They are quite nice though so if I was at someone's house who was having them I'd tuck in.
