Phenomenal story of survival, 3% chance!
He is very brave and resillient, amazing recovery, and some Talk down the NHS?

It is a sad story, but there have been many babies and young children who have suffered the same when they contracted meningitis.

Yes but its not a competition. 20,000 children die every day from hunger and preventable diseases. 365 days a year

Sad as it is, I was just drawing attention to the fact that, sadly, this is nothing new. Meningitis is a terrible life-threatening disease, that when it doesn't kill, leaves many of its young victims in the same condition.

As you say, the world is a cruel place and this awful tragedy simply doesn't stand out with all the other tradegies/atrocities occuring worldwide.

Thanks for stating the obvious then, of course there are other tragedies in the world.
Meningitis is contracted, streptococcus lives inside us his body was attacking itself, not the same thing at all.

The results are the same - isn't that what counts.

I suppose essentially but cases like this are rarer.
