Just began a save with Derby, The Premier league is coming.

Up to 2017 i think with my Bath City save. have got them as far as League 1 but stuck mid table

Took over Tranmere in November when they were in a relegation battle in the Championship and somehow managed to get them into the race for the play offs, didn't quite manage to make it though

Pretty much impossible for me to actually get any form of play off challenge again I think on such a small budget (100k wage budget for the entire squad), but hopefully if I'm still within a few points come January I'll be able to pull something off. Finished the 2017 season in the Prem last night with my Burnley team in a very respectable 14th place, more a consolidation year really after I survived by the skin of my teeth the season before after a scrappy relegation battle. Going to look to press on for a top half finish next season hopefully.

Got the job there back in 2014, got MK Dons promoted in my first season there but when we were bottom half way through the first year in the Championship I cut and ran and got the job at Burnley leading them to playoff glory

A big fan of the old school 4-4-2 you can see, though I must point out this was for my game against United away, would not generally have such defensive tactics

I've worked wonders there with my striker James Keene as well, in real life he is jobbing it in the Israeli league and even though my assistant manager only rates him a League 1 player he was joint top scorer in the Prem last season

Well well well, looks like i won't be leaving after all. A nice play off final victory against Watford and i've been handed an £11m budget with 80k wages.. Could probably get about £30m for Hughes this summer too, i have no idea who to sign..

Have had 11, 12, 13 and 14 and genuinely not noticed a difference between them all, biggest thing that seems to change is offering more options in press conferences

I started up a new save a few days ago, i wasn't getting anywhere with Derby and didn't have the funds or players to take them any further so i went with Southampton. Had a **** start to the season and lost quite a few games.. about mid way through the season i created two amazing tactics and my form has been amazing with 3 wins in a row against Chelsea, United and Arsenal and to top it off i have won my first ever trophy on FM.

Took over Swansea. I knew I'd not really be able to finish too highly with the squad so I just targetted qualifying from the Europa League group and qualifying for next seasons Europa via one of the domestic cups.

I missed out on qualifying from my group thanks to that stupid head to head rule they have instead of goal difference :idc:

I managed two great cup runs but I was robbed by Brighton at the Amex by an 89th minute winner in the semi final of the league cup and then beaten by Sunderland in semi final of the FA Cup. Wrongly robbed of three trophys I was left to just secure Premier League safety, which was never in too much trouble thanks to Bony scoring 21 league goals and winning the golden boot.

No Europa League distraction this season so my full focus is on the league. Made some good signings in the summer but nothing major. Nyom is the only one that has been a consistent starter, but Kampl and Borini and finally coming good now after a tough start. Canales is always bloody injured. (and look at that lovely job status).

Just had a massive win in my battle to stay up, took a bit of a risk starting my on loan Italian striker even though he's struggled a bit and he rewarded my faith with a fantastic hat trick. Been a bit of a poor season in general though, going to have to have a bit of a clear out in the summer because I brought in loads of dross before the start of this season who never even make the bench and just eat up my wage budget

I remember on FM 12 I built a stunning legacy with United. Then I stepped down as I felt I couldn't take the club any further, and wanted a new challenge, although getting other jobs in FM12 was impossible so I became a bin man, and Steve Bruce took charge and totally wrecked my precious side.

Gabriel Barbosa, one of the best young strikers on the game, 5 star potential and scores quite regularly. Michael Keane is great too.

Ante Rebic probably my best signing, signed him for £2m three seasons back and now he's a 4 and a half star and worth £12m, means that I've had Barca sniffing around him though and have had to give him a massive new contract to keep him happy. Andrea Petagna is another young player I got on the cheap and has improved a lot fast, and Larnell Cole and Shane Duffy been good servants to the club as well

Got to the FA Cup final last season with my Burnley side, lost in the last minute to United after a very dubious penalty but at least I got Europa League. Starting to realise how tough it is on the Prem season though, having Thursday away nights to Rubin Kazan and then playing Chelsea three days later has not been kind. Means I am currently 17th in the Prem but at least I topped my EL group

Went back to my old Leeds save. Managed to get them promoted in the second season as league winners despite not having any money, think that might actually be the first trophy I've won on FM14.

First season in the Premier League was a tough one. Started out really well and I took 10 points from my first 5 games, but after that it was a disaster. Went into the final 4 games of the season 3 points above the bottom 3 with Liverpool, City, Everton and Chelsea as my remaining fixtures, somehow managed to beat both Liverpool and City and stay up.

I am officially a miracle worker. Took over Southampton on the squad updates and built the squad much better than it is being built in real life. Boilesen is one of the biggest bargains I've ever had on the game, he is an amazing wing back. Then again Odengaard was pretty much a free transfer and he is 5* potential.

The DM is really important in the system I use and I was missing Wanyama for almost half the season and was in terrible form without him, but when he played I generally got good results and eventually ended up finishing in a decent position

Went into the second season hoping I could go one step further and manage to get myself into the Europa League, only got given a budget of around £15m so I had to sell to buy most of the time. Origi was on loan and then Liverpool recalled him in January because he was banging them in for me (9 goals in 16 games I think) and I was above them in the league, then I had a tough decision between signing him or Icardi, went for Origi and it ended up being a great decision. The missing outgoing that boosts the prices up is Morgan S, got £20m for him. Brought Keita in so I finally had a decent back up for Wanyama as well.

Somehow I manage to defeat all odds and win the title.. I was top 3 all season pretty much but City overtook me with 2 games to go after I drawed with Villa, and my final 2 games were Chelsea and Utd but I somehow beat them both and finished first.

Tactic I have used in every single game. You need to have a really good defensive mid who has good attributes when it comes to his long shots (as well as obvious defensive ones), wing backs are probably next.

I'd say Clyne, Wanyama, Boilesen, and my two centre backs have been my best players. Coates and Chiriches have been an amazing partnership, I have Real Madrid after Chiriches now though.

Sounds good, glad to hear the match engine is improved. Sounds like the last bit is mainly due to your managerial incompetence as well so I trust I won't have any problems there

Did manage a 2-1 win over Atletico and a 2-2 draw in France with PSG in the Champions League but sadly they have both been overshadowed by a 1-0 loss to Red Bull Salzburg

It is all going well now that I have sorted some decent tactics out. Finished 6th in my first season which ended up being quite a disastrous thing as none of the players on my shortlist were interested in joining me anymore, being the great manager I am though I managed to guide us to 3rd in my second season. Some rebuilding is needed now though as Gerrard isn't up to it anymore, Allen isn't good enough, Lallana had a very quiet second season after a decent first, and Mario keeps moaning about gametime, so all 4 will likely be off.

Playing a game with Rangers atm, at the end of October I'm 1 point off Hearts in second though have a game in hand. Have crashed out of two cups already as well so not a great success so far. Should be a decent challenge getting them promoted though and then see how I can do back in the SPL

Yeah I never really like starting from the top, what I normally do is start unemployed then wait till a decent challenge comes up normally in the Championship, either an underperforming team who could challenge for promotion or a side that's battling to stay up
