[“I am willing to show #Asian community I care by introducing
the Ching-Chong Ding-Dong Foundation for Sensitivity to Orientals or Whatever,”
the Colbert Report posted in a March 27 tweet that was later taken down.
The Report later clarified that the account is a publicity account
run by the Comedy Central network, not Colbert, nor his show.]
He is Clever getting a Racist War going to Promote his show

Not sure if true but if it is what a doofus.
However I've definitely noticed issues over race, race trolling etc has become a bona fide method for Hollywood to drum up publicity for projects. Not always a bad thing. The remake of Annie the musical with mainly African American leads including Jamie Fox, Quvenzhané Wallis (Oscar nominee girl) as well as villainous Cameron Diaz has got twittersphere in a tizz, good publicity for film.

It wasn't his account that posted it, it was his show's account that's run by Comedy Central. I don't think it's fair to blame him when he wasn't even involved.

He was saying it in Satire. Like most of his show. I'm serious alot of Americans get news from his show and his "father" show, called The Daily Show. They're more informative sometimes than Fox News, MSNBC, and Fox News.
The Joke itself In reference to this whole NFL Washington Redskins thing where Redskins is considered to be very racist to Native Americans (Like saying N****r). The owner is refusing to change the name but donated to a Native American centric charity.
I feel sorry for all the oversensitive people nowadays that don't realize it was a joke.
