TiBB's General Election 2014 [Part 1 OPEN - NO TEAM ROOMS]

Following on from last years General Election, Spambot Liberation Front (fronted by Marcus) took over from 'La Bear Party' [Nathan, Benjamin and Shaun].

It's that time of year again to re-elect a new party for TiBB.

Below is how the process works for those unfamiliar with it.


Part 1:

Members may nominate one member only (with that person's permission), but you may NOT nominate yourself.

Part 2:

Once we have 8 potential candidates with three votes each, they will be the leaders of their campaign. They must state in 100 words or less why they should go forward to Part 3.

From here the forum members then may support ONE candidate and choose to 'back' them. Once a candidate reaches 8 supports they will qualify for Part 3. Only five candidates will make it.

Part 3:

From here the 5 successful candidates will then gather a team; a campaign manager and a designer. These three will then put together a campaign speech detailing why they should be elected to become TiBB's PM and take over from Marcus. They will also need to produce a party name, posters, logo, campaign support and anything else they feel may give them an advantage over their other candidates.

The campaign speeches and campaign promotion shall be posted and a forum vote shall occur where the supporters can vote for their favourite party, with the winning campaign taking the crown.


Everyone can vote, including Candidates, Campaign Managers, designers and Supporters. Please let's keep this light-hearted and fun.

Although I should maybe keep quiet as I haven't the time to devote to this event this year at all,I agree with Anniek as to you running Shaun.

However as to the very first one of these election games which was hotly contested and a great laugh all through with some really interesting and humerous inclusions as to policies.
The thing I recall is you Shaun were actually the real architect of what I think was a brilliantly put together manifesto for the winning party led by Nathan.

It was, in my opinion, a really impressive piece of work from you.

I have more of an issue with the complete lack of respect you keep throwing at Marcus' win last year, trying to belittle it and calling it a "pisstake campaign". We had fun with the brief, but we produced some good stuff last year, and everyone on his team played a role. Leon had private stuff going on at the time, but he still contributed, and we all did our parts. I have no idea why you of all people has declared themselves a moral arbiter of who deserves to win. I still remember how you acted through the last election, and the nasty and spiteful things you had to say about Marcus on the night of his victory.

I have more of an issue with the complete lack of respect you keep throwing at Marcus' win last year, trying to belittle it and calling it a "pisstake campaign". We had fun with the brief, but we produced some good stuff last year, and everyone on his team played a role. Leon had private stuff going on at the time, but he still contributed, and we all did our parts. I have no idea why you of all people has declared themselves a moral arbiter of who deserves to win. I still remember how you acted through the last election, and the nasty and spiteful things you had to say about Marcus on the night of his victory.

Last year the team rooms were set up by admin once the candidates had been announced and only a set number of people I think it was 4 (including the candidate) were allowed to contribute :tongue:
