Big Brother: Twist and Control

This is a little different to what happens usually. My last project which can be seen here (http://www.thisisbigbrother.com/forums/showthread.php?t=239122&highlight=) wasn't one of my favourites. So, what I did was take the House, strip it of furniture and restart. I've recycled the layout and tried what Channel 5 enjoy doing the best, and refit it all.

It's actually looking good so far, and I'm glad! Some of the walls have been moved in minor ways but the basic layout is the same. So, enjoy!

The eye isn't supposed to be anything spectacular, just so we have something to work with.

The Exterior
So here is the first part of my layout revamp and it's the exterior. Now, as far as exteriors go on Channel 5, this has had a little more than a revamp on their part.

The new version takes on a blue theme for the series. Instead of just a single screen, the large screen across the entire house makes a return and hides the doors. The large eye remains a main feature of the exterior, but the presenting runway has been extended on the end. What differences are there to the interior? Many many changes.

I'll warn you that the rooms that have had the least amount of changes are the stairs and the bathroom. The rest have seen a huge decor change.

Not sure what's going on with the images.... they look a little strange.

The Stairs
Housemates will see the stairs before any other entrance to the House, and it's important that they make them feel either at ease and at home, or paranoid and panicked.

After:
Big Brother has completely removed his orange colour scheme from the stairs, and replaced it with a light and comforting purple. While not the biggest design change the House sees, the design makes a difference. The stairs aren't closed off from the rest of the House this time, and the doors have been removed making the living space seem larger.

Living Room
A Living Room in any Big Brother House is important, and this House is no exceptions.

After:
Big Brother has decided to base his new House on a modern apartment. The sofas are contained within a lower roof section, with stone walls and modern wood around them. The dining table is a large black square area, allowing all of the Housemates to sit together and eat. There are also two separate seats for two Housemates to sit and relax if they wish.

I would suggest, some re-furnishing is appropriate also (only being picky now though!!) There are better dining tables in the warehouse, as there are small chairs to have for smaller conversations/chilling. But really like the theme and execution. Oh and the originality of the living area!!

The whole idea is to re-furnish from what was featured in the House before, and is to try and keep in realistic terms to what Channel 5 might change from summer to winter Celebrity Big Brother.

Its to BB12/BB13 era for my liking especially the brick work it looks pretty meh.

The Kitchen
Big Brother has completely changed the Kitchen this time, and made it bigger than before.

After:
For the new kitchen, Big Brother extended it a little making it more spacious and roomy for the Housemates to move around in. The basic shape is still the same, but the wall was moved backwards. There is a wooden theme this time, with brown and black tiles being surrounded by neon strips that change colour. The kitchen has all of the modern appliances that the Housemates might need during their stay in the House, and a fish tank!

The Bedroom

Big Brother's kept the size of the Bedroom the same, but themed it in a different way.

Big Brother has installed mood lighting into the bedroom. The green walls can change from green to blue or red.
