Richard Donner, director of the 1980s movie The Goonies, has revealed that a sequel to the film is in the works.
The 1985 film, which starred Sean Astin, Josh Brolin and Corey Feldman, was written by Steven Spielberg and Chris Columbus.
While signing autographs in Beverly Hills, Donner told TMZ that his next film will be a Goonies follow-up.
When asked if the original stars will be returning to reprise their roles, he said: "Hopefully, all of them."
There has been talk of a Goonies sequel for several years, with Brolin revealing as recently as 2010 that a script had already been written.
Feldman has been the most vocal about wanting to star in the sequel, saying that there "is always hope" for Goonies 2.
There is currently no word on when The Goonies 2 is expected to start filming.

How can you sequel a film like that
And if you did it would be really low budget

How can you not have seen the goonies Shaun D:
And they always say theres a sequel being made, Josh Brolin even said a few years back they had started filming it and then admitted it was a hoax, the guy that played Chunk said he wouldn't ever return because he doesn't act any more he's a successful businessman.
I hope if this is true they don't **** it up though.
I think the guy that played Sloth died too didn't he

And they should get the guy who made Super 8 to do the sequel.

They are amazing films like this, for a pre teen audience they're great that's what's missing now feel good films with an identifiable protagonist.

I just loved Kate Winslet and her beautiful... hair.
..yeah, I like her as well, she's beautiful and a great actress ...but that movie was awful, when they were standing on the front of the ship, I so wanted him to push her off and then jump in after her..the only good thing about it was the French and Saunders' spoof of it on their show...

Con Air is the only movie I still have on VHS
Nick Cage is a top ten actor no matter what anyone says
Still have our VHS up in the parents gaf.
Always gets a whirl. Everywhere I've been people love Con Air. It's a people uniting sort of thing.
Nobody can resist the charms of Diamond Dog.
