He couldn't win, if he said nothing he would be accused of being ignorant. Personally I think it is quiet polite of him given he is in the industry and has made a few bob out of it he must know a a thing or two!

I don't really watch the voice, but I did catch some of it and the winner seems better than any of the last five X factor winners

It seems genuine.

But I guess people will read it how they want.

Eh no he wouldn't, he's either never commented on the show or when he has it's been to criticise it, neither of which are surprising because it's a rival brand so I've never heard anyone call him 'ignorant' because you wouldn't think he'd bring it up anyway

I'm not criticising him either, I'm a Simon fan  I too think it's quite gracious of him to congratulate him publicly like that I was just shocked that's all seeing as he's either never mentioned it before or when he has it's been to slag it off

He is a Dad now, probably mellowed him a little.

Jermaine was leagues better than the others. The first right winner

My review.....

Yup. Hamie was exceptional. He's the perfect package, every bit THE Voice, can sing different genres and still slay, high versatility and has a lovely balance between confidence and humility. Really loved Jermain, he'll be a big success story I'm convinced. Leagues apart from the two previous winners, cough ahem what ere their names again? :smug:

Christina Marie was bloody good too, I'm hoping to see her make something out of this opportunity. Her final performances blew me away.

The public vote got it so so right here, restored my faith. Jamie was rightfully first eliminated, he definitely lacked the full package (I really must stop talking about men's packages ) and I would predict Sally will be scooped up by Lord Webber or one of his theatrical counterparts. She's a belter.

Glad Jermain, but I do worry about how successful he could be realistically. Hope he gets great promotion.

I thought he was OK but i personally thought Christina Marie was a much better singer in every way. I even thought the older woman (Sally ?) had a better voice than he did.
All he really had was a pretty average voice and a "i can sing in a really deep but uncontrolled voice" novelty thing going on.

None of the people who go on The Voice are the kind of singers that i would ever listen to (other than when i watch The Voice) but i can still appreciate someone who has great control of their voice and has the potential to be successful in the Music Industry and as far as i'm concerned Christina Marie fits those criteria far more than Jermaine!

As for Cowell........... i think he just knows his franchise has hit an all-time low and is in trouble and he's doing everything he can to endear himself and his show to as many people as possible. That's why he's got his ass (and Cheryl's) back on the judges panel!
It probably came as a major shock to someone with such a massive ego as Mr.Cowell when Fox decide to cancel the X-Factor in the US and i think he's terrified that the same could very possibly happen here if the show carries on like it has been. It's a stale and redundant format that needs putting out of it's misery!
It's not like he needs the money. He could easily afford to call it a day, buy an island and live the rest of his life in luxury. Do us all a favor Simon! :xyxwave:
