Bad week for bisexuals. A second celeb within 7 days has renounced their bisexuality and say they are 100% into men. Following on from Tom Daley's clarification that he's not into women, just guys; pop star Jessie J has now claimed her attraction to women was a phase.

Good on her? don't see how it's a bad week for bisexuals, it isn't about scoring points

:umm2: because how can you stop fancying one gender out of the blue if you previously fancied both?

When I went to college loads of people seemed to go through this weird phase of changing their Facebook sexuality to interested in men and women but would then revert back to default like four or five months later.

Tbh from my experience (I know all are not like this) bisexual people are usually just going through a phase, experimenting, and saying they are bi because its 'cool'. The amount of bi people at my school was just ridiculous. I even said it myself once when 'experimenting' with girls.

Like I've said bisexuality is a wishy washy trendy transient staus imo which I refuse to take too seriously. Half the so called bis at I knew at university are exclusively with men now.

Gay men like Tom Daly using it as a half way house to come out gay, Jessie J using it as a trendy fashion statement to be edgy and turn on men, like girls who kiss girls on a Friday night in a kebab shop to impress boys. These so called bi folk always end up with guys eg Anna Paquin, Drew Barrymore, Alan Cummings, Rachel Evan Wood, Gillian Anderson Pink, Megan Fox. DREw Barrymore has been with loads of men before marrying her next husband.

Experimenting does not make or mean your sexuality changes. It is just that...experimenting.

Why label it then, just say experimenting!

No I agree and people who see fit to change the label of their sexuality aren't helping matters but neither are the people who are dumb enough to use their incorrect labelling to argue that bisexuality isn't really a 'thing' or that it is just a phase

It is not a phase, it's a bonafide sexual orientation. Celebrities and other people wrongly using it to label their experimentation does not change that, they're just a bit misguided in that they think trying different things out means their sexuality has changed or is different. I don't think it's a concious 'hey look at me I'm bi now' they just think because they're experimenting they must like both men and women
