Got a call two days in a row from a man with an Indian accent telling me he's from Microsoft and that my computer had errors yada yada........... How is this scam still going? They must be getting hits still, doesn't everybody know about this one yet?

Have they ever called you? If that guy calls back again I need to ask him if they still get people falling for it, they must do I guess

They rang me once, I told them that it's strange that Microsoft is ringing me when I have a Mac. They STILL tried after that and I just laughed at them and hung up.

:laugh2: How stupid do they think people are..........but I guess there must be alot of stupid people out there, if it wasn't still paying off for them, they wouldn't waste their time :/

He should've let him "conference call", and it would've just happened to be an Indian copper.

You'd be amazed how much of the older generation would fall for stuff like this. The people who haven't grown up with technology and are only getting to grips with it now, I don't even mean to be ageist

I don't even mean that you have to be all up to date with technology to not be caught out, I mean this scam is so well known that I would have thought people would just have heard about it, like from the radio or through other people

Yes it would be so nice if Bill Gates phoned me
to ask why I use Firefox
and not him.

I would tell him - You are to slow

I had it about 2 years ago, they rang really early and woke me up. Easiest thing to do is just say you own a mac
