'The Challenge - Free Agents' New Season is on!!!!

Any fans/watchers of 'The Challenge' on here ?
The new Season started last week (2 episodes aired so far!) and it's looking promising so far.

This season there's no set teams or anything to dominate the game like normally happens. They don't tell them until they get to that episodes challenge whether it's a team, pairs or individual challenge and it changes every week so you're always just playing for yourself. I like this aspect!

A lot of the same old faces are back. CT seems like a different person these last few challenges. I guess that's growing up for ya'!

I just got hold of the second episode so i'm gonna' watch it right now.....WOOT!!!!:dance:

Yeah, it's not as good as it used to be but it's still miles better than The Real World itself!
I think a lot of the old-school players are too old and have moved on with their lives (except the odd saddo like Paula).
They have way too many of the very recent years players back Season after Season (i think Frank has been on the last three Seasons in a row now!).

Regrdless, i still enjoy it! :hugesmile:

Yeah, i like the idea of them squashing the normal pattern of the vets targeting the noobs and the fact that regardless of who they throw into the elimination there's always a chance that they'll pull the skull card and end up going in against them themselves!

I loved the fact that Frank's pulled the short straw twice in a row now.:hugesmile: It's only a matter of time before he starts having a tantrum and tries to fight someone.

I liked the duel format, where it was just an inner circle voting people out I found it much more boring. So if this is more like the former I'll be more interested.

The way it is now there's no teams at all. It's much better!
When they turn up for each challenge they tell them there and then whether it's an individual, pairs or a team challenge and that only lasts for that particular challenge.

They still tend to try and keep their friends safe when it comes to putting people into the eliminations but the second player in each elimination is completely down to chance (they basically flip tiles over and one of them has a Skull & Crossbones which means they in the elimination).

I wish they'd try and get some of the older contestants back though. Isaac Stout turned up for this one and i didn't recognize him until they said his name! :hugesmile:

Yeah, Cara Maria has become a beast in these Challenges!!! They all used to give her hell when she first started but now she's really come into her own. I think hooking up with Abram was good for her and they're still together apparently.
I'm really liking CT these days too. I used to hate him when he was a mindless animal, beating the crap out of people and stuff, but he seems like he's really grown into a good guy.
Good to see Laurel's extremely flimsy veil is slipping and Cara's finally getting to see what a horrible person she really is.
Although i'm no fan of Banana's it was brilliant to see Jordan's ego being his downfall and Banana's taking him out. Jordan was an asshole on his Season of The Real World too!

Theresa's being a bit lame on this Season but boy......is she looking HOT!!!! Such a pretty girl and her body is just so damn FIT. The episode (think it was the first one ?) where she played one on one basketball with CT she was amazing!!!

They've both had some amazing moments this season. Laurel too, but she's had just as many bad moments. Oh and Cohutta's a lot more interesting this time than I ever remember him being.

The only thing about Devyn is that i can't help occasionally thinking "what the hell did this girl have in common with Big Easy ?".:conf:

I definitely admire Laurel's athletic prowess but she surely has some kind of social disorder. She's just so bad at friendship and getting along with people.

I can't even remember Cohutta from before but he does seem like a nice guy. I was kinda' gutted for him this week, just when his and Nany's relationship is coming together and all. I really hope she doesn't end up dabbling with that Johnny guy again.

the thing with laurel is, she's clearly used to doing things alone and doing them well, so it transpires into all aspects of her life i.e, friendship!

the only thing missing from this season is Cooke, oh my god, that woman!

am i the only one to notice how lame leroy is, he just coasts all season, he is a beast in the game ( 90% of the time ) but boy i have never seen anyone get such an easy ride as he does.

Laurel's 'frog-in-throat/I'm about to cry voice' when she had that confessional about not wanting to lose Cara as a friend had me rolling:laugh: I don't think she's used to being vulnerable and I'm not used to seeing it, cause that moment was just too WTF.

Leroy surprised me. He was first to figure out that the random draw was a better option earlier in the game, but I wish he'd own his strategic/political side more like Devyn. I don't really understand why Cara and or Theresa didn't throw it once Nany and Bananas won. Either way they'd have a 50/50 shot, but when Johnny is one of the votes Cara should have known she was going in. Better chance with the cards.

I used to love Evelyn when she was on the Challenge!!!!
She was one of the best female competitors ever and she also stayed away from all of the cliques and the whole carrying each other to the final thing that the whole Bananas and Kenny gang used to constantly do. I used to hate it when you'd have people in the final challenge who'd done pretty much zilch through the whole game and avoided going into any elimination challenges like the plague!

I just acquired episode 10 so i'm gonna' sit back and watch it now. I really hope Cara's hand injury doesn't take her out of the Season! :(
I couldn't believe how much of a wuss Chett was when he pulled himself out of the elimination and the whole game because he had a cut on his chin. I never liked Chett anyway!

Not had much interest in this season although the most recent episode was great and the next one looks epic too. It has to be said that the format is flawed, it made more sense to lose the challenge this week and just go into the draw than it did to come 2nd or 3rd.
Bring on Chile next week.

I've got a terrible feeling that Cara's gonna' lose this elimination challenge!
It's the wall punching climbing one so Laurel's half way up to start with and Cara's hand isn't going to stand up to the wall punching very well at all.

I thought it was really un-sporting of Bananas to insist that Cara went into the elimination and it was weak as hell of Nany to back down to him. He would have backed down rather than go into the elimination himself if she'd stuck to her guns!
Him saying that he wanted Cara gone because she was a threat in the final was BullSh*t!!!! Theresa is just as much of a threat if not more so with Cara having an injury! Johnny's just a little bitch who's missing his little team of butt-kissers.

After all of the eliminations Cara's done this season and then Theresa get's a free pass to the final after being a weak-ass elimination avoider all season.

You know when something's out of order when TJ says "so you're really going to put Cara Maria in then ?".
Cara deserved to be in this final and i'd be extremely surprised if she'll get there now. Very poor indeed!!!
Bitches best look out for Cara next time she's back 'cause i don't think she's gonna' forget the backstabbers from this season!

Wow........that's quite a disappointing possible line-up! I can't even picture half of them to be completely honest. Bloody Johnny Bananas AGAIN!!!! In her heyday i think Evelyn's one of the very few females who could have destroyed Laurel....and that's something i'd pay to see.:laugh:

Why the absolute ***** do they always invite bloody Jonna ? She's useless and just usually latches onto one of the guys so that she can crash at their place after the show finishes. I really don't even see the attraction with the girl. Not attractive at all in my eyes, just available and desperate!!!

I've just started watching this season (haven't read any posts in this thread, so no spoilers plz) and I've never seen The Real World or The Challenge before, but this has been great so far :love: I'm 5 episodes in and it's so great and exciting to watch! I'm sure I'll have it finished by the end of this week.

Hmmm Fresh meat 2 is where I started (cara maria, laurel and theresa's first appearence) but the duel 2 and inferno 2 are good for old school too, my favourite's cutthroat (best cast imo)

i follow Nia on instagram, she went for some blood tests and put a video up, and shes training hard and dropping hints like "redemption is coming" so i think its a cert she will be back!

It's like a lot of reality shows in that it's not as good as it used to be but i did really enjoy this Season.
Some of the older Seasons with the classic rivalries are great!!! The Wes vs. Kenny was probably the one that dragged on the longest. I was always on Wes' side even though he could be a dick at times. I just always disliked the Kenny/Bananas/Evan alliances because they were such a smug bunch and they got certain alliance members into finals without them even playing the game sometimes!!!:bored:

It's interesting to see how certain people changed through the years on these challenges too. I detested CT in the older challenges!!! He was a total mindless, animal thug but he's actually become one of my favourites these days. I think the personal stuff he's been through over the years has really shaped his personality for the better.

Yeah, i've watched some of the seasons of The Real World and a few have been OK but nothing amazing but i've always enjoyed The Challenge far more! I'm sure some people only go on The Real World so that they can get a chance to go onto the Challenges afterwards. I saw Emily (Real World DC) say in an Interview that that was the reason she did The RW originally. She's probably one of the best female competitors on the challenges now i reckon, along with Laurel. They're both absolute machines!!! Evelyn was my favourite female competitor ever because she was just so good and she hated the cliques and the game playing. It's sad that we don't see her on the show any more.:sad:

I watched my first Season around 4 or 5 years ago and loved it so i went and tracked down any previous ones i could find online and watched the lot. Some of the earlier ones were really tricky to find, especially in decent quality rips, but i ended up finding the majority eventually.

I always thought they could make an amazing Big Brother type show if they had challenge style tasks and competitive eliminations like this show.Could be a great show i reckon!!!

I do hope Camilla makes it onto the next season! She's a great competitor and she usually brings some crazy drama to the house too. Probably her Brazilian temper and with a surname like hers there's obviously some Japanese ancestry in there too.

Decided to start with Rivals (S21) as the cast looks pretty good on that based on first impressions compared to the first few mins I watched of Cutthroat and Fresh Meat II.
