Aguilera teases new album!

Christina Aguilera has teased that she is working on a new album.

The pregnant singer took to Twitter to describe her current situation as "blissful", as she looks ahead to welcoming her second child.

She tweeted yesterday (April 19): "So blissful in taking this time for creating all things blossoming new on the horizon...album, baby & beautiful music to come."

Her new LP will serve as the follow-up to Lotus, which peaked at number 7 on the US Billboard Hot 200 and at number 28 in the UK.

She recently scored a UK Top 10 hit with 'Say Something', her collaboration with US duo A Great Big World.

Meanwhile, Aguilera confirmed last month that she is expecting a baby girl with fiancé Matt Rutler, sharing her news with fans at a show in Kuala Lumpur. The 33-year-old already has a 6-year-old son named Max Liron with ex-husband Jordan Bratman.

It has been reported that Gwen Stefani is being lined up to replace Aguilera on The Voice US in the autumn.

She just needs to let her insanely good vocals out over a heartfelt ballad and unleash it on the world, it's what she's best at - she's probably too old to be doing the slutty thing again. Back to Basics was a cool era but she can't return to that, she's done it before.

You're wrong, Zee, the Burlesque soundtrack was similar to BTB and was well received. Also you had Lady Marmalade way back in 2001 and Red Hot Kinda Love/Shut Up from Lotus. She's experimented with that sound all throughout her career and I hope she does it again with this new album, it's Christina at her best (I can't stand her ballads)
