Only if he blows £35 million on Andy Carroll.

Absolutely not.

From a United point of view definitely, from a non-United point of view absolutely not

It's inevitable. David Moyes is a good man, good manager but not of United quality. I was interested in this whole summer rebuild thing and would have given him to next season but his position is untenable now. 10 defeats this year isn't it?

Yeah, let's go with 10. Sounds better.

Yes. It looked like he was struggling as early as September hence the thread I started, not much has changed since and it could be argued its got worse. IF he's given time then how long do we envisage he'll need? Even if he completely over hauls the squad in the summer its gonna take at least two to three years to get back battling with the top teams never mind beating them. Modern footbal fans cant be asked to wait that long for their incredibly successful team to start getting better. They need a much quicker impact than Moyes can ever give them.

I feel for him cuz I dont see where he's gonna go. Maybe Newcastle but he'd be a fool to want that job but I suppose if he's sacked then he cant be too choosy.

I reckon that thread jinxed him, Girth. Certainly David would add it to the list of problems, barring himself.

I would say no.
However this season is by Man Utd standards a bad season, I think had he been able to secure a top 4 finish that might have saved him but not now so I think they will have him go

It was never going to be easy though for anyone coming in after Alex ferguson, another club may have been happy with 7th in the league and a quarter final European cup run but not Man Utd.
I feel he would have needed at least 2 seasons to really make his mark, being fair to him.

Why would any Arsenal fan want a Man United squad with a capable manager? we'd be out of the top four immediately.
