CHANNEL 4 chief Kevin Lygo has admitted Big Brother execs feared Nikki would win — sparking a backlash from viewers.
They were worried fans who had paid on calls to boot her out would be mad if she won £100,000.
The ex-vice girl, 24, was kicked out but went back in after a controversial phone vote. Watchdogs are investigating after 2,700 complaints.
But Lygo said: “It’s not that many when you consider how many people voted to put housemates back in.”
He added that the idea, which divided producers, was to spice up the “sometimes dull” final week.
