'The Libertines are reforming for a show at London's Hyde Park on July 5.

The Pete Doherty and Carl Barat-fronted band will perform together for the first time since Reading Festival in 2010 as part of this year's Barclaycard British Summer Time festival.

Rumours had been circulating about a potential reunion over the last few days and the festival's Twitter account has now all but confirmed their appearance after posting a blurry image of the band's Up the Bracket album art.

An official announcement was made this morning (April 25), confirming the full lineup. Tickets go on pre-sale on Wednesday, April 30 at 9am and on general sale on Friday, May 2 at 9am.

Supporting on the main stage are The Pogues, Spiritualized, Maximo Park and The Enemy.

Playing on other stages are Swim Deep, Reverend and the Makers, Wolf Alice, Darlia, Cuckoolander, I Am Kloot, Brownbear, The View, The Twang, The Rifles and Raglans.'

Meh, it's a chance for fans of the band to see them in action again, and it gives people who like The Pogues another excuse to go

Liam changes his mind depending on his mood. Noel has always been pretty clear he's not bothered. Due to the level of violence that led to their split and the fact Liam tried to sue him. He's also got another album coming out so he'll be touring that for at least a year.

I'm going!

Travelling down from Edinburgh for it, just doing the Friday to Sunday in London, hopefully I make it home alive.

Each to their own but The Libertines for me are 100 times better than 95% of the ****e "music" people slaver about on here. Never been a huge band but always had a hardcore fan base. Should be a top day with lots of good folk supporting as well.

Ah so lucky, I'm going to another festival but I would have loved to have gone :(
