Is there anything you were scared of when you were younger, but aren't any more?

I was terrified of Pennywise from IT and he still creeps me out bit tbh

Also Rumpelstiltskin, not the one from the fairytales, I turned on the tv one night and there was a horror with him in it and I was terrified of him for years after that.

I had the biggest fear of anyone dressed up in costumes. It started when my family took me to Blobbyland (I think it was called that) and that Mr. Blobby guy jumped out and scared me. There's actually a photo of me stood next to him crying hahaha. I'm still a little terrified of anyone dressed up :(

edit- oh my god how weird? Both said blobby hahaha

Snap ryan... I'm still scared of the dark. I'm ok out in the night, but I have to sleep with the bathroom light on. If I woke up and my bedroom door was shut I'd be terrified.

Oh my god, that rumpelstiltskin thing was horrific. My mates put it on when I was at a sleepover, I must have only been about 9 or something and that thing haunted my dreams for literally years D:

Omg, does anyone remember when BBC2 used to do fright night over Halloween? I remember watching it as a kid once and there was a vampire movie on but they vampires sliced people's wrists open and sucked the blood from them.

Since then I have a thing about wrists. :worry:

The one I saw..it had something to do with a little doll thing IIRC. It was ages and ages ago though...and I still try not to think of it much, even though if I watched it now it would probably be not the slightest bit scary.

I used to check under my bed and in my wadrobe before I went to sleep cus I thought somebody would hide there and get me.

I also had a period where I would wake up relieved that I was still alive.

Spiders, although I pick them up now, they don't bother me at all.

My Dad not coming home... he was in the army.

Swimming in the sea. It still freaks me out. I'm okay on it but not in it.

No monsters but when I was on holiday in Jamaica when I was about 5 I saw my cousin slaughter two chickens and a goat. HE cut the chickens head off while it was still alive and the thing just ran around the yard with no head on bumping into everything. I was traumatized for years, I had dreams about it, but a funny thing happened, I grew up and got over it. :idc:

I'm the same with lightening and thunder. I have a very vivid memory of a particularly violent storm we had when I was a kid, and I remember laying in bed shaking with fear. I'd never been so scared. Even getting into bed with my mum and dad did nothing. Me and my sister would just cry all night.
That was the first and only time I ever slept in my parents bed at night.

Now I love a good storm. Only if I'm inside viewing it. Being outside during a storm makes me paranoid and I start running statistics in my head and make myself believe I'm going to be the one in a million that gets struck by lightening.

China dolls freak me out and any kind of dummy like ventriloquists use.

Also I remember going through a phase when I was petrified of Casper.

And 'Are You Afraid Of The Dark' on CiTV scared the hell out of me.
