View Full Version : Do you still do things now, that you did as a child?

Hey!

For instance my brother always claps his hands three times before he sleeps and blows into his hands. It's something mum always told him to do to get rid of the monsters and now at 27 he still does it and genuinely cannot sleep without doing it.

Also, I always have to still get naked to have a proper poo! I have no idea why it's just something i did as a child and still have to do now in order to do normal things!

What about you?

Okay, I'm going to sound like a total freak but I always bang my head against the pillow in my sleep. I've done it since I was about 5 and I my body will not stop it haha, I never know if I'm doing it either. I look like I'm being possessed, I get huge headaches too D;

Not the case at all Jay. As you will see when this thread builds up most people have their own little quirks and habits that make them unique and different and interesting. Embrace it.

I can't stand ill will.... When people wish people dead or say they hope bad things will happen to them. My mum would get mad if I said ' I never get headaches' for example.... as it tempts fate.

Ya, I know now, I googled it, it's very interesting. I would be quite uneasy if I believed in that, because if a human is going to do something malicious you can avoid it because you can see what they are doing, but since Jinn have free will they could just posses you and cause you trouble without any prior indication. :umm2:

I have a really weak bladder, I wet the bed more or less every night until I was like 8 or 9 years old, it was really bad, my parents tried everything and eventually one of them would come through after I'd been asleep for one sleep cycle (~4 hours) to wake me up, take me to the bathroom and then I'd go back to bed, and that was how I stopped wetting the bed. Now, as an adult, I still have a really weak bladder and am forever running to the toilet, I always pee when I arrive and before I leave at any kind of destination and if I've been drinking alcohol I always wake up after 4 hours, go to the toilet and go back to bed. It's pretty strange but my parents were doing this for a long time to get me to break the habit so I think it must be deeply ingrained in my mind now :laugh:

I'm so sure I do heaps of weird things I just can't think of any right now

I was the same, I used to wet the bed all through primary school, luckily it stopped before I got to Secondary school which made mini-Jess' life much easier. All of my siblings were the same, but one of my brothers still had it happening even as a teenager and to this day we don't know if he ever stopped, it was that bad. D: It's such a delicate issue, especially for older children, it can cause so much frustration. Currently my nephew is in the same situation, he had some traumatic experiences in his short life with caused him to be potty trained extremely late and he has just never stopped wetting the bed since then no matter what anyone tried. D: He is nine now and sleeps here every week, so it's not just his mother who has to look after it. But if waking a child after a few hours might work then maybe it's worth a try. :shocked:

Me too. I was in a meeting a while ago and one came and perched outside just in my view. It was torture because I couldn't give it "Morning Captain, how's the Mrs?".
