I know lack champions league footy is Man U's biggest drawback in attracting world class top calibre players fans expect, however do you think Rooney's mammoth salary would cause jealousies. I suspect one or two team mates are pi$$-ed off

He's not on £300k from United entirely. It's £250,000 a week, with commercial rights making him upto £300k. United taking a cut of it also.

Your point still stands, however. I fully expect United to pay big wages this summer as it's the only chance of getting a top player.
