Do you feel comfy talking on the phone on the bus or do you wait until you're off?

I'm fine with it. i'm always on my phone when i'm on a bus, surfing the net and chatting on skype.

yeah idc, I wouldn't spend ages on the phone though since it's annoying when others do it.

I don't really like the idea of people listening in to my conversation but I would do it if necessary.

I try not to, it's terribly tedious for other people. I try to use the quiet carriage when I can so I don't have to listen to thirty people take turns to say "I'm on the train".

I don't see the problem
Nah I'd find it awkward, I'd not answer and call them back

only if its important and i keep it very short dont like people listening and i dont liek people talking utter rubbish
its great having a phone but phones have killed the art of conversation. you used to chat on a bus or get a smile of a girl walking.now everybody has their head buried in their phone. ignoring the real world around them. shame

i thought it would help vocablery - how wrong i was. this is a conversation i heard from a lady on the bus last night.
ring ring - HELLO - hiya - you alright ? yer like - so what you been doing like ? well been chilling today like. but bit tired like. what you up to ? i like that. thats nice like. wish i was doing it like. you see that nice guy like ? he is well fit like. yer like.
when i got off i said - I LIKE YOUR CONVERSATION. and she only replied - CHEERS LIKE.
moral of the story. phones maybe a great tool but if you have nothing to say - they defeat the object LIKE.

I would imagine that 99.9% of the calls are pointless and not needed

no, I hate people listening to me talk on the phone, I won't answer  I ring them back when I get off.
It's annoying when people TALK REALLY LOUDLY as well.
I don't do it personally, I hate when other people do it and I also feel like everybody is listening in to my conversation which I really don't like, even if it is just idle chit chat.

i suppose what makes it worse is the phone contracts that offer 500000000 million free mins to any country in the world.

Will usually answer in a thick Mancunian accent with: "Hows it going our kid?" as loud as possible. Then proceed to discuss loudly the plans for the evening.
Nobody has ever looked at me or said a word :pipe:
