has cancelled plans to award

The National Association for
the Advancement of Coloured People
(NAACP) said it would not honour
the 80-year-old basketball team boss
because of the furore over comments
he allegedly made to his girlfriend.
It came as the woman at the
centre of the allegations broke
cover and appeared in public for the first time
wearing a reflective mask.
V Stiviano, as she has been known,
was trailed by photographers as
she walked through Los Angeles on Monday.
The scandal follows the posting of a
10-minute recording on website TMZ
in which a man reported to be
Mr Sterling tells Ms Stiviano not to
post photographs of herself
with black people online
and not to bring African Americans
to Clippers games.]
