I'm nearing the end of BBCAN and loved it :love: so gonna watch BBUS and thinking of starting with 6, 10 or 11 as Ilve heard they are the best ones. Helppp?

I started with 7 which is the all-stars. i didn't really know who most of them were but i still loved it and it's still my favourite series to this day. I'd recommend that but BB6 is great also :worship:
Haven't seen 10 or 11 but i heard 10 is good too

For people starting out on BBUS I always suggest one of two options, depending on how much you like the format and how interested you are in learning the history of the show which I was.

If you are, I would seriously just watch them chronologically beginning with BB2 (BB1 had a UK format). 2 and 3 whilst old seasons are excellent, 4 and 5 are a little iffy but then you get the amazing BB6 and the brilliance of All Stars for BB7, by which point you know all of the characters. Then 8 is good, 9 mediocre and 10 and 11 excellent once again.

6, 10 and 11 are the go-to seasons though if you wish to dip in to the best seasons and work your way through them randomly, and I think I'd personally suggest starting with BB11. It's recent and had a hell of a load of drama and was pretty gripping from start to finish. BB6 is very good and I preferred the houseguests overall but I think BB11 gives a more up to date reflection of what BBUS is like these days, whereas there are a few things in 6 that they don't do anymore.

It has to be 6 or 11 though, BB10 has a comp early on where a load of ex houseguests return including some winners and that'll just spoil things for you before you've even got started on BBUS. BB11 has one returning player from BB10 but no major spoilers.

I know that, but IIRC it just implies that they didn't win and I mean they weren't that great anyway. A lot safer than having a load of winners/successful houseguests spoiled in BB10

It's between 6 or 11 if that's the way you wanna go anyway, 6 has IMO more likeable houseguests and a better storyline but 11 has more drama and is a more accurate reflection of what BBUS is like nowadays

BB3 is, in my opinion, the greatest season of reality television ever made. Gripping drama, likable (but big) characters, but it still has that early reality TV feel with down-to-earth characters. And it gave us the greatest alliance of all time.

I watched some of BB6 but I only got through the first couple of weeks or so. It was fine but just seemed a little dated for me (because I'm so accustomed to BB11 onwards) so things like the eviction votes not being live were a little weird for me.

I might watch BB10 sometime though.

The thing with Amanda for me was that she really seemed to mirror the way the house was behaving. In the early weeks she didn't say anything racist really and even clocked Aryan for everything she was saying. I do believe that playing the game, she conformed to social pressure and hence started saying the things she did, as she would've been on the outside, gamewise if not.

That being said, the things she said were unnacceptable and definitely non-excusable. I just think she wasn't as inherently evil as Aryan, GM, Spencer etc...

bc this thread is in desperate need of some Troy opinions (I will also try my best to come up with a BBUK analogy to each BBUS season!)...

BBUS3 - easily the best season imo. Dynamic cast where everyone contributes, gripping from start to finish, easily the most fleshed out and "complete" season. I'd compare it to BBUK5 as both seasons are as close to perfection as you can get.

BBUS6 - one of the most beloved seasons and certainly one of the most intense. The biggest in-house rivalry EVER, the Friendship vs. the Sovereign Six truly is the gold standard for two sides of the house completely hating each other and going at it. BBUK13 is the easy comparison.

BBUS11 - the BBUK6 comparisons hold true. Outrageous casting, drama from the get-go, so much **** happens that doesn't resemble normal behavior, etc.

BBUS2 - the original season that holds up surprisingly well over time! Everyone contributes fantastically, a little slow at times bc it's early 2000s reality TV, but still an essential season. BBUK1 is the obvious comparison.

BBUS5 - There's a lot of iconic stuff to this season! You have great heroes and villains, some of the most heartfelt moments ever, an epic rise and fall of an evil alliance, arguably the best BBUS twist ever, revolutionary gameplay. This season has something to offer for everyone! But for some reason, it doesn't POP as one of the best seasons ever for me, and I'm not really sure why? Sounds a lot like BBUK3.

BBUS17 - the only modern season of BBUS that is legitimately good, and pretty much because production stepped in ****. Audrey set the tone early on for chaotic and outrageous gameplay, and Vanessa carried the ball all the way to the end zone. Truly entertaining from start to finish, which is especially rare in modern BBUS. Think BBUK14 where in spite of production's flaws it still shines really brightly.

BBUS10 - good but ridiculously overrated. It introduced Dan Gheesling to the world, which really is an unforgivable sin (don't let me down Daniel, I *KNOW* you wouldn't stan someone who actively isolates himself and reads the Bible as the rest of the house is in a giant screaming match.) Think BBUK7 and how it's definitely a good season, but some people overrate it beyond belief.

BBUS4 - what seemed like the worst season ever at the time is actually pretty good! The big twist is a little annoying in terms of stunt casting but it's much better than the **** we get nowadays. The HGs as a whole are a little bit bland and not too likable, but Alison, Dana, and Jun are amazing enough for this season to be worth it. I don't know, the season's worst crime is that it's a bit bland and vanilla, but at least it's not offensive at all. There's no immediate BBUK equivalent, but I guess you can think BBUK8 in the sense that once upon a time it was greatly criticized but now people have come around to it?

BBUS13 - there really isn't an immediate BBUK analogy for this season. This is another season that manages to be moderately enjoyable in spite of everything production throws out there with gross returning players, dumb twists, and blatant rigging. Definitely not A Good Season in the broader context of BBUS, but considering what came immediately before and after it, BBUS13 shines brightly.

BBUS9 - think of your BBUK greatest hits of outrageous antics: Shell mowing the lawn naked, Daniel eating chocolate spread out of Jason's ass, Michelle and Stuart ****ing under the tablecloth, Kinga and the wine bottle, Grace chucking water on Susie. This is the BBUS answer to all of those moments in terms of trashiness. However, this makes the season seem much better than it actually is.

BBUS15 - the CBB5 comparisons are ridiculously obvious, and just like how there are somehow a bunch of CBBs worse than CBB5, there are somehow a bunch of worse BBUS seasons than BBUS15. Definitely the most thought-provoking (and frustrating) season from a sociological standpoint, and the first half is legitimately good with real blindsides (such a rarity in modern day BBUS) and the good people winning out. This unfortunately all goes to **** in the second half, but the first half still propels it up to yellow territory for me.

BBUS7 - a lot of people here LOVE this season but it's actually pretty ****ty! It's All-Stars and it was definitely a star-studded cast, but also a very redundant one to me (did we need a full 50% of the cast to be from BB5 and 6? did we REALLY need Janelle and Howie and James and Kaysar? The answer to both of those is no.) It also really bothers me that certain people like Lisa and Dana and Ivette were left out to make room for irrelevant ****s like Boogie and Erika and George (and while I wouldn't call Howie and Kaysar irrelevant, their casting was so ****ing redundant and unnecessary.) The boot order is tragic and the season was dominated by a bunch of people who I didn't really want to see back in the first place. I guess you can think of this as the CBB15 of the series, where a lot of stuff is happening and it's a critically panned season but for all the wrong reasons.

BBUS8 - BBUK15 easily. A season dominating by one of the nastiest HGs ever who has zero redeeming qualities. And, of course, production loves him/her. Again, there's ostensible "drama" and "stuff happens" but only to appeal to the lowest common denominator.

BBUS1 - I'd rank this here for what it's worth but I don't think I should really even go into it since it's not a typical BBUS season.

BBUS12 - BBUK4. Boring, static, nothing happens, easily the worst season ever at the time but overshadowed by the two seasons below it. Modern BBUS has a loooooot of problems and almost all of them can be traced back to BB12.

BBUS16 - a complete waste of time. Peaks in Week 2 (there are 13 x_x), an awful alliance of dudebros has a stranglehold on the season, Battle of the Block stifles any chance of power shift, the last month has some of the worst episodes imaginable with complete filler. This season literally has nothing going for it, and worst of all production LOVES this season x_x If this is the gold standard of the franchise then we're in for a rough ride. Just pick whatever series of BBUK you hate the most and this is the equivalent.

BBUS14 - I switch between 14 and 16 as my last all the time, this season is complete garbage. The newbie cast is the most inert imaginable, the coaches twist is annoyingly suffocating, and sure stuff does happen but it all involves people that I don't care about, or worse, people I ****ing hate. Think the BBUK16 legends twist with the BBUK12 cast.

the evil people (aaryn,spencer,amanda,GM etc) are all in the same boat the most horrible BBUSA housemates we have seen as well as Frankie.

There's actually a whole 20 minute video showing footage of Judd being sexist. The show painted him out to be a nice guy (and yes he's nothing in comparisson to the awful others) but he was also ignorant a lot of the time.

That being said, he was my favorite male of BB15 at the time.

Yeah he's deffo the better male in that season as well as Nick but wasn't that disgusting as aaryn,amanda,gm (CBB5 bullies 2.0) Spencer etc.
