Apparently this hand written letter was found in Kurt Cobain's wallet at the scene of his suicide. Seattle PD logged it into evidence but it was never made public until now.

The letter states: "Do you Kurt Cobain take Courtney Michelle Love to be your lawful shredded wife even when she’s a b*tch with zits and siphoning all your money for doping and whoring.”

Nirvana are probably the most overrated band in history. I missed all the hysteria around them, but most of their material is average - especially when compared to their contemporaries like Dinosaur Jr.

Seems as though hardly anyone would remember them if they didn't have teen spirit in their back catalogue - and that's a s**t song too.

Difference of opinion - I've listened to all of their stuff and they don't really interest me, so they are overrated as far as I'm concerned, but obviously not in your opinion. They just weren't great, and they definitely don't have a collection of great songs - which is the minimum I'd expect from such an iconic band.

Well they only made 3 studio albums and imo they have some really great songs in there especially on Nevermind, I guess the fact that Kurt shot himself in the head helped with keeping them iconic in peoples minds but they were top of the grunge genre as well before Kurt died but anyway I guess it's all subjective really

I'm so jealous, i'm sure we had this conversation already but they actually played in a Club in Cork in 1991, I would have been 13 at the time but I didn't start listening to them till around a year or so later, would have so loved to have been at that concert. I remember when Kurt died even my mother was upset, I think she had a bit of a crush on Kurt herself. I had on the music video for Lithium one time and my baby brother started laughing and said haha he said he's ugly and my mom said he is not! :joker:
