I was thinking about this earlier (and coincidentally saw Tom's thread about paying to use TiBB) - Wikipedia requires donations to maintain its running costs - it's surely one of the most used websites in the world and it's monitored by a team of people making sure no one vandalises the content and users are adding good stuff. Surely the eventual logical solution to this is they charge a small fee per month for people to use the site which would then likely reduce any trolling because people would have to pay just to be able to vandalise a page which seems a bit dumb...

Would you pay a membership fee or would you not bother?

I do like the website but I don't really use it enough to justify me spending money to maintain their site.

I would pay 50 cents per month for Wikipedia, don't think I'd pay more than that, I would prefer to bust out an encyclopaedia.

If I used it a lot then yes I would pay a subscription no problem but I rarely use it.

I probably only use it about once or twice a month, so not not really. If I used it more then sure I would, it's a good site.

Only if I get to be a V.I.P and have unlimited access to posting pictures of genitals on Celine Dion's entry.

I use it quite often but no, you can just find the information elsewhere.

I'm sure if they did that their hits would go down loads I imagine.

I don't even know what it is so no I wouldn't be paying for it!
