Bit of a contradiction from the other articles posted about it

I think plenty of people would, pretty odd statement to make on a BB forum that.

Couldn't agree more Josy, why be a member of a BB forum if you don't like it, or want it to fail :conf:

Ok....

http://www.seenit.co.uk/viacom-promises-stronger-programming-for-channel-5/

Launched in 1997, the UK’s fifth terrestrial channel regularly struggles to break the 2m viewers mark and is overwhelmingly reliant on imports with original programming mostly accounted for by reality TV and lifestyle shows.

However an email to staff sent by Bob Bakish, Chief Executive of Viacom International, and Dave Lynn, Managing Director of the firm’s UK arm, suggested that would now change.

First of all I don't think no one on here is under 10

"And suggested that would now change" could mean lots of things not just reality TV and they also said that they would want to keep Big brother

What?

You definitely posted some image with some guy's I.D Card on it and just because it had 'area 2' on it or something you said it meant there were 2 houses :umm2:

It had house 2 wrote on it (not area 2) , I speculated it would be great if we had a 2nd house, I speculate on a lot of stuff - it don't mean I was saying there is a confirmed 2nd house.

:bored:

Viacom will most likely keep Big Brother, considering it's Channel 5's most popular show right now. I mean, they were reportedly looking to renew the rights last week.

Seeing as it still gets millions of viewers (more than double than made in Chelsea and towie) i think people would be bothered :)

If anything the article in question could mean Big Brother's budget could be increased and make way for loads of new things.

1997 was 17 years ago lol look how much viewing has changed!

Back then if you wanted to watch a show it had to be there and then , live! that's why viewing figures were so massive. Now we have on demand, youtube and plenty of other ways to catch up on the show.

The big problem is would bb deliver the key viewing demographic the new viacom owners want for c5?
